So I have been dabbling around with my switch CFW and such and found a way for switches with CFW to use tunneling software like Xlink-Kai.

I know gba temp also talks about other consoles and other console modifications and things of that nature and as we all very well know it’s never smart or sometimes not even possible to play modified consoles on official online servers.

Furthermore a lot of the older consoles (ps2, Wii-u, 3DS, and many many others) no longer have online servers or things of that nature yet those games may also support a LAN functionality that can be used with programs like xlink-Kai.

I would like to see a thread topic specifically for gameplay matchmaking.

It could possibly be set up like this:
Main topic on the forums page:

Game matchmaking

Within this forum topic it could be set up by platform:

Ps2
Switch
Og Xbox
Xbox 360
Wii-u
3DS
Emulators (some support emulating network functionality)
Etc
Etc

Within each platform a sub forum would be stickies for tutorials on how to connect using tunneling software. One tutorial per software program because I know there are other programs that emulate Xbox live for example

A secondary sub forum under each platform for help threads regarding connecting using these programs in order to keep them separate from the people seeking others to play games with

Then the main posts section under each platform would be specifically for those trying to arrange a game session with others.

This would be great to see and it would be a lot of fun to enjoy these great games together as a community and in a community that is all about games.

I don't see the point in making an entire section/sub sections for something so specific when you can...simply make one master post in the already existing console sections for this...which has already been done for some of these consoles.

As always, when anyone suggests a new section they need to ask themselves "are there so many posts for this subject that it's overshadowing the main subject of XYZ?" And the answer is basically always no.

Failing that, make a group if you're so inclined. That's what the feature is there for.
