Hacking Question On firmware 3.0.2 looking for advice

My switch is currently running firmware 3.0.2 totally unmodified and has been in airplane mode forever. I also bought a SX OS Dongle when they launched and have a 128gb SDXC Card. I don't know what the best path to take is. Basically, I want to be able to cfw and be on a firmware most compatible for games.

If your goal is compatibility with the most games (past, present, and future), then you should update to 6.1.0. You can update to 6.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX. You can also use the aforementioned app to update without burning your efuses, preserving a downgrade path to 3.0.2/3.0.1.

Avoid 6.2.0 at all costs.
