Hello Forum.:)

My Question is only about the full system capacity not which is better sound (although it´s clear which one....:ha:).
My PC is old but more as sufficient for me.And it interests me ONLY for gaming, not Audio/Video editing etc.

IS there a significant performance difference between the three solutions ?

Thank for your answers.:grog:

I’ve never noticed any difference when using 3.5mm or HDMI to the same audio device. They sound the same to me.

The biggest difference for me came from plugging my desktop into proper speakers, relying on the crappy speakers that comes with any monitor/TV.

Older PC's are supposed to see a performance benefit when the audio is off-loaded to a dedicated soundcard. That's probably the only time you're likely to see any difference.
