Huh. Didn't realize this project actually went somewhere. I heard about it quite awhile back and figured it would stall out at menu translation like so many other niche game projects; glad to see you folks pulled through!

Anywho, the reason I floated back this way was because a friend of mine has been bugging me to buy his Vita off of him. I don't really have much of an interest in it, although there /are/ a few Japanese titles with fan translation projects I could check out, this being one of them. Before I go ahead and buy it from him, I want to ask: how difficult is it to apply translation patches to games on the Vita? Is it as simple as finding a copy of the game somewhere to buy and then doing a bit of file transfer once it arrives, or do I need to hope his Vita has some specific version of firmware and then do some kind of crazy CFW ritual before moving on to patching?

It needs Henkaku to work since that is the only way to load the modded files and have the plugin run.

This is the same with all fan translations as they never work on a console as is.

I did some research since yesterday and read up on Henkaku and all that fun stuff. His Vita is 3.60 so I should be in good shape. Looking forward to taking the translation out for a spin soon!

On that note, will there be an update for the missing parts another poster mentioned earlier or should I just go ahead and use the version already available?

There will be updates to fix as much of the reported issues as possible soon.

Glad to hear it! Will saves between versions be compatible? Like if I were to start playing now, with the current version, would I be able to seamlessly continue with the same save file with the updated patch when it is released?

Yes, it wouldn't be an issue.

I finally got my Vita set up with Henkaku Enso 3.65 and came back here to begin figuring out how to patch the game, only to learn too late from reading earlier comments that there is apparently a problem with 3.65 and the translation?

I'm not sure what RePatch is or how I am supposed to use it, so I guess for now I should sit tight until this updated patch is finished?

Unsure if this has already been reported, but it seems that dungeon objectives which require the picking up of certain items always display the names of these items as "1 1" when viewing the objectives list.

That is fixed in the next version.

Any updates, or should the current patch be considered complete? Trying to decide if I should wait to play it or not.

I can't get it to work,I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

First I installed it normally as a NPNPDRM game as I always do,Installed the patch, everything works fine.

Then I go to the patch folder and open the folder of the game with the "Open Decrypted" option in vitashell,I FTP the content of that folder and copy them to a folder called patch in my PC,I delete the original patch

I delete the 2 files clearsign and keystone in the sce_sys folder on my PC,and I copy the files of the patch to the "media",then I move the whole patch folder to its original location,

and it's not working,I don't know what I'm doing wrong,I've been trying for over an hour, please help.

Instructions in OP are a bit unclear and not the best way anymore.

Instructions for Patch v0.01 installation

Step 0 - Get a NoNpDrm version of the game and install it. If you don't know how to set up NoNpDrm, look up a tutorial for that.
Step 1 - Once you have Omega Labyrinth installed, download the update to the game by pushing the yellow button in the LiveArea.
Step 2 - Download rePatch from
Step 3 - Find config.txt. First check for it in ux0:tai/config.txt. If it's not there, it's at ur0:tai/config.txt
Step 4 - Transfer repatch.skprx to ur0:tai/repatch.skprx or ux0:tai/repatch.skprx, depending on where your config.txt file is.
Step 5 - Open config.txt. You can either transfer it to your computer, edit the file, and transfer it back, or just edit it with VitaShell's poor text editor.
Step 6 - In config.txt find the line that says *KERNEL
Step 7 - Under that line, make a new line and write ur0:tai/repatch.skprx or ux0:tai/repatch.skprx, depending on where you put that file.
Step 8 - Reboot your Vita
Step 9 - Create the directories ux0:rePatch/, ux0:rePatch/PCSG00550/, and ux0:rePatch/PCSG00550/Media/. Use correct capital letters.
Step 10 - Put all the files for the translation patch into ux0:rePatch/PCSG00550/Media/. You may want to use the USB connection for this, it's 166 MB of data. Once it's done, you'll have ux0:rePatch/PCSG00550/Media/resources.assets, ux0:rePatch/PCSG00550/Media/sharedassets2.assets, and ux0:rePatch/PCSG00550/Media/sharedassets4.assets.
Step 11 - Launch the game. If you did it correctly, the opening scene will be in English, starting with the words "Amberyl Girls' Academy". If the game is still in Japanese and you put the translation files in the right spot, you probably installed rePatch wrong.

It finally worked! Thanks!

Because there might be an influx of people after Omega Labyrinth Z was canceled, I updated it to work with rePatch with most of the errors reported in this thread fixed with the remaining needing playtesting and most importantly SCREENSHOTS so I can determine which file I need to edit, this isn't abandoned just the lack of assistance with playtesting and editors does make progress slow.

As this is wrapping up, if anyone can get a hold of the script for Omega Labyrinth Z then contact me as it will be released as a fan translation if Sony or Pqube refuse to do so.

Glad to join the team to help with playtesting and editing!

For anyone else wanting to help, you will need a plugin for your Vita called pngshot (Google it). This will allow you to take a screenshot at any time by pressing the PS button and Start button together! This will help us correct any mistakes quicker! You can do this as you're playing the game!

How do I get strong in this game, I can't get past Road to Holy Grail 1. I stufeed a lot of blue incense in my Aina and also fused two weaps to +5, a Katana for physical attack and a Magician Rod for magical attack and I slotted both with gob's special effect and magical power +3, my armor also have Gob's defense but it's still no use I can't barely get to B5F. Any tips ?

This is pretty awesome, buuuuut, does anyone know where I can get a NoNpDrm version of Omega Labyrinth? I can find MaiDump versions just fine, but apparently dont work with the NoNpDrm software. I can even find Omega Labyrinth Z, but thats the wrong game.
