Hey everyone,

I recently tried to install a modchip on my Nintendo Switch OLED using the kamikaze method, but I failed. I’ve attached some pictures of the board so you can see what happened.I’d like to know if the console is still fixable or if the damage is too bad.

I’d appreciate any advice from those with more experience in micro soldering or repair work.

Thanks for taking the time to look and help out.

You just went a bit too far but otherwise, it doesn't look bad at all.
This should be doable with two very fine wires.

You can grind some more to expose a larger area to reconstruct those lines.
I recall seeing some pictures in the picofly thread but we're already at page 845 now.

Here you can find out how those traces run in each layer if you would like to do it yourself.

In many cases the lines also have other locations where you can expose the line without damaging another line.

A skilled repair shop can fix also this for you.
Send your pics to the Picofly thread and ask if there is anyone in your country who might be able to fix this if you prefer that.
Most repair shops have mail-in services but international mail can be expensive.
