Hacking OLD M3 Simply Wont play alot of new stuff Can / should I convert or ca

I just got a used M3 simply for my sons DS. I installed the newest firmware for the M3 Simply that was released. I understand there are no NEW firmwares coming out for it, but alot of the newer titles dont work freeze. Castlevania for example Hangs on black screen after logos.

Is there a way to use an unoofical more update firmware for it? or to change it all together to another more updated firmware? Or should I jsut get another chip!?

I'm just looking for a yes or No answer and the name of the firmware etc... And any tips if applicable.

There are new updates in the form of YSMenu.

thanks I looked up YSMENU but it seems its in Japaneese? Is there an English thread or site with info on how to use it etc!?

There is a guide for it in the R4 section of the forum. They have an english download there I think.
