My friend just brought me his Xbox, with aurora and freestyle menu (I’m new so sorry for using a rookie terms) with about 35 games. Now I’ve seen modded warfare videos on how to download but I can’t seem to find the aurora, xell launch and dash launch so maybe I’ll need to format it (maybe the driver) or maybe you guys have any other suggestions for me.
Thanks and sorry again for using rookie terms

I have a really good guide on how to install FSD on here.
It's a little outdated but still very solid.

I recommend downloading the latest Dashlaunch and installing that by copying it to the HDD and running it.
XeLLlaunch is a seperate homebrew that reboots the console to XeLL, again you can download it.
Aurora however is a alternate dash, that one must be manually added to Dashlaunch's config if you want it autobooting to Aurora.

if you're wanting to mod games, freestyle dash and/or xex menu with lastest dashlaunch, if you want to connect to live you'll have to buy stealth, or if you know how compile yourself for free (https://github.com/g91/XBLS), mw2 menus are all old and partly broken unless you want to pay 40+ usd for a paid menu, havent tried cod4 dunno if r2r infects are still a thing

If I couldn’t find the xelllaunch anywhere on my Xbox, I will try to download it. Aurora however is already my default at launch, When I boot up there Xbox I automatically get into the aurora "neighborhood". i dont know how to download, do you think i should reset the xbox entirely and download it from YT tutorials?

from what I remember, xelllaunch comes with dashlaunch if you want an easier find.

Just read through the installing FSD tutorial, you can use YT tuts to get yourself familiarised with the visuals but don't rely on those.
So what is your suggetstion for me? to try and download the Xell launcher or try to reset the console and do it all over again?

The daslaunch is in a file on it's own. There is nothing else in there.

latest dashlaunch, with xelllaunch

http://download.digiex.net/Consoles/Xbox360/Jtag/xexmenu_v1.1.rar

copy the xex files to a flash drive (and copy to hdd)
if you want to mod online you can't use fsd or aurora, you can only use live safe homebrew, (makes it look like you're on the dashboard)

http://download.digiex.net/Consoles/Xbox360/Homebrew/Dashboards/FreeStyle3/F3Installer.7z

that will install fsd automatically for you

and you'll need a form of stealth:

shouldn't need to redo everything. I've only had two errors with my system. one was from a botched update that I used debian to fix; the other was when everything got corrupted. it took a while to fix everything but that's about as close to starting over I've ever gotten. just follow the update tutorials on here and FSD. it's not overly difficult, but you do want to pay attention. I have three update tutorials, but you should probably use @DinohScehe 's (if he has them), since they come with pictures.

you can update through xell btw (don't have a tutorial on it). debian may require xell to work, but I can't recall. I have the disc on my computer if you ever need it.

also, btw, you can usually get into xell by pushing the eject button to power on the system. iirc, xell requires av cables though, so when you flash your system, make sure to flash xellous or xell reloaded. I think both can use hdmi (if you're system has hdmi).

use xell-reloaded, supports hdmi

Is Xelllaunch really necessary ? I thought all modded 360s already had xell built in the dashboard and all we needed to do was to turn on the console using the eject button ? This was true for the very first dashboard that was exploited , but back then Xell did not support hdmi output and was still true a few months back when I decided to update my 360 to latest FSD and latest dash. I needed my keys again, so I launch xell by turning on the console with the eject button.

Maybe the RGH dashboards don't include Xell ?

You can also get keys with dashlaunch. I don't think you need xell launch. It's just convenience.

xell is installed to the nand, it replaces part of the 360 bootloader/bootchain, xellaunch is literally just a forwarder from the 360 dashboard (rebooter) which just reboots into xell, by default xell boots when powering via eject, otherwise it boots your rebooter (freeboot) and you boot into your dash
