Hacking Old 3DS flash questions

Hello everyone.
I have several questions about put CFW on virgin old 3DS v.4.1.0
I have a friend who will give me Metroid Prime to play.
But this game will update to 11.2.
I want to hack the console and I must know some things before do this.

1.Is it good to update to 11.2 and after that to use the hack 9.0.0-11.3.0 for it.
2.If not very safe then I can hack with 3.0.0-8.1.0.
3.If I do this can I update to 11.2 safety with some 11.2 CFW and how to do it.
Or Metroid will update to 11.2 and everything will be fine.

I think I must update at least to 11.2,because like every game on every console if you are with lower firmware it will not run the game.I don't know if this is the same with 3DS.I have experience with flash other consoles so I'm not total noob.

Whatever man. Go for which one you want to go for. Both will get you CFW and both will tell you to update to 11.9 after you are done hacking it.

i would just hack on current firmware and then update. but it doesnt really matter, just dont update pass 11.2

Why? Frogminer exists. It would just take a bit longer but he would get the CFW anyways.

its a much harder process, if he can just use soundhax, why go to a harder route?
its not a deal breaker though.

So if I hack it with current 4.1.
Metroid will ask me to update to 11.2.
So he will update and everything will be fine?
He will update it with it's official,isn't this dangerous?

Yes,I will this tutorial but was worried for the update that will make Metroid.

After ypu hack the device, it is completely safe to update. Even using Nintys official updater.

from the guide:
"Updates while using B9S + Luma (what you have) are safe"
One of the steps in the guide is to update it to the latest version, you wont have any trouble playing metroid.

I will use 2GB SD card,if everything is ok with the hack I will want to put at least 16GB.
I read that is need only to copy the content from the hacked card in the new one,is that right?

I formatted SD card through 3DS format option.I see that I have DCIM and Nintendo 3DS folders on it.
Is it safe to left them or to format it through Windows so SD card to stay total blank?

I stucked here:

Section IV - Installing CIAs

1. Navigate to SD -> cias
2. Select “<current directory>”
3. Select the “Install and delete all CIAs” option, then press (A) to confirm

I don't have “Install and delete all CIAs” option.What to do?

P.S. My mistake,got the wrong folder

Alright,everything installed fine with no errors.
Some help how to play games on SD?
I read that they must be in .CIA format and install them with FBI.
Is there other method?
Where FBI install these games?
