Hacking Offline update files for Vita 3.60

I've just gone to grab a copy of the 3.60 update file (for obvious reasons) and noticed the following - The american site has 3.60 available for download https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/system-updates/ps-vita/ but the Australian site only lists 3.57 https://www.playstation.com/en-au/get-help/ps-vita-system-software/

There's a specific warning about updating a vita bought outside the US with the US updater so I'm inclined to follow that given that I've the Australian console - anyone know why this may be and if the files actually differ for different regions?

Both download links of the .PUP are the same. Whoops, apparently there is a DUS.psv instead of DEU.psv in the links. The 3.60 actually is downloadable from pal regions, i just got mine from the italian site.
Nothing changes.

So it seems https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/ps-vita-system-software/ the UK site links to the same .PUP file so I should be safe to go ahead. Strange warning then.

Does this mean the Japanese model VITA's and VITA TV's will have the same firmware as US/EU counterparts ?

When I downloaded the EU/US they are the same ?

I updated my jap vita tv to 3.60 with the normal uk site with the update file and all works fine.

Yes, I made sure of this yesterday and the US/EU/JP update files are indeed all the same (by hash).

Yup, and you can use button swapper to switch X and O back to normal layout.
