just downloaded reinx 2.4 from reinx guide site and deleted only the reinx folder, sept folder the the reinx.bin from my sd card and copied the new folders and bin from the zip file over to sd , also updated to 8.1.0 firmware and i can boot up with new reinx fine and all my software works but i can't access the homebrew menu from the pictures icon anymore it just takes me straight to my screenshots? tried holding R but doesn't do anything different just straight to screenshots?

should i try deleting the folders again from sd card again and trying again? also find it strange it saying reinx(0.0) not 2.4 in the systems settings is anyone else having bug with the homebrew menu not being accessible?

Redownload the hbmenu.nro and hbl.nsp from the guide then put them in the appropriate places.

Hi, i have updated the firmware to 8.1 and also Reinx, but now some games when i try to lunch them i receive this message error "Could not start software. Please try again from the HOME Menu", what can i do?

So i have just manually update the Switch to 8.1.0 using ChoiDojourNX in prep for also updating ReiNX to the latest release. I also have a new 200GB SD card ill be using (as my old card is running out of space!), so after the ChoiDojourNX finished updating the Switich to 8.1.0 i got the new SD card and formatted it to FAT32 and placed the files from the ReiNX 2.4 zip file to my new SD card. The Switch booted up fine showing the ReiNX splash screen but i have noticed in the System Menu the Switch is showing the FW version as.....

Current System Version: 8.1.0 (ReiNX(0.0)

and when i click on the album icon to load the homebrew it doesnt load and just loads the album program i DO have the title folder 010000000000100D in /ReiNX/titles so thats not the issue.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Hey everyone,

I'm on Reinx 2.4 with 8.1.0 and everything works fine (great work and many thanks by the way). I just got a mistake which is a little annoying. When I try to start some games (for example Overcooked) I'm asked to press L+R to enter the game. If I do so suddenly the hbmenu appears. When I leave it with the home button and try to start Overcooked again from the home screen I'm back in the Hbmenu.

Can I change opening Hbmenu with L+R (somehow that just happens in some special games) or alternatively can I leave Hbmenu on a other way than the home button?

This bug has been reported to elise already, only thing I can think of try legacy method instead of hbl.nsp.

I just updated to 8.1.0 from 5.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX. For the latest ReiNX update, I notice there is a sept folder. In search, people say that sept is the payload needed for the new firmwares. So this is what I use to start the Switch now? I've been injecting "payload" in the sept folder with TegraRCMGUI and nothing is happening but Hekate's payload loads fine. If I inject ReiNX I get two splashes but just black screen. Am I bricked or something that I can't enter horizon?

edit: I don't know what was the problem but it's working now just fine I guess.

No, you don't inject from the sept folder. Everything to do with the sept folder is automatically used if required.

It sounds likes either something on your sd card or something on your switch is wrong.

Can you boot into horizon from hekate?

Just boot with the regular reinx.bin, that will boot sept which will boot reinx

why does this ruin atmosphere installs or vice versa? in other words if i'm using one and try ti install the other and reboot it then loads the one i just installed reguardless of payload used???????

each time i install either atmosphere fresh or reinx fresh with atmosphere already on the sd card...... it askes me to overwrite files and even when i say no this issue still happpens. i believe its probly a sept issue. my hope is it can be fixed.

Correct. Sept will load the payload.bin inside that folder. this will with be reinx or fusee depending on the payload.bin

I suggest doing a complete clean isntall
