Anyone know why I get a black screen when I try to load Dev Menu via Pokemon Quest? I put the files into ReiNX/titles/bunch of numbers that came with the rar

Because LayeredFS is not working on ReiNX yet, either wait or use hekate

is there a way to install nsp files on firmware 3.00 yet?
I've only heard of 4.x and 5.x success, if ReiNX isn't working to do so.

Could try using Rajkosto's way to update without burning fuses, install stuff, copy 8X~E1 and 8X~E2 from system, go back to 3.0 using your backup, replace files, etc etc etc.

Just speculation on a work around. Haven't tried anything.

Basically this. We need to add kernel patches.. or maybe just use the old patched kernel renamed as kernel.bin in ReiNX folder.
Personally I just did it on hekate and booted back to ReiNX ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Will ReiNX work on 1.0 FW? or update using game cartridge to 4.x first
now it works on all firmware. but unfortunately if you wanna run sigpatch you need wait a little longer as currently it only runs on >4.X.
correct me if i'm wrong though

Yea, duh, that's why I said something. I guess nvm.
The nsp application not the CFW you choose to run. The CFW doesn't care about how NSPs are installed that isn't its job .The NSP installing application itself needs the ability to do split installs as that's the only one that 'cares' about FS format.

Uhm...

ReiNX does not do the NSP installation. *AT ALL*. It just allows installed NSPs to run.

The program that installs NSPs for ReiNX is Tinfoil. Which is why I mentioned it. As stated, Rei does not work on that project. Multipart NSP installation is a missing feature of Tinfoil, NOT REINX. So-- When you said "support when?" in a totally dickish way, Rei politely responded that this is not his problem to solve. It's the creator of Tinfoil's problem to solve.

Well since you're asking in the reinx thread maybe people think you're asking about reinx supporting it? Your question was pretty ambiguous. Didn't state what app should support it. Which one do you mean? Tinfoil? Devmenu?

Oh and your attitude stinks. Have a little respect for people. It goes a long way.

Just wanted to say ReiNX is working great for me and I've had no troubles using it. I have it running homebrew, emulators, and installing .nsps. Funny how it's a WIP and not a full release. Thanks Rei.

There's some issues with older firmware versions, and a few blips about exfat support and sigpatches. Otherwise it is quite useable. Also needs layeredFS support.

I have it installed and intend to use it for daily driving. Got retroarch installed. Works good so far.

Sorry for going off topic as I am going all in on ReiNX only your Switch is banned right not your nintendo account t, especially if you unlink it.

Just dont use your own cert for any downloads (no, sorry, not gonna help with that), and keep your NX offline. No issues then if you restore OFW.
