Animal Crossing: City Folk DLC preservation project needs your help
@SunakazeKun, the modder behind Pokémon Timeless Diamond/Spaceless Pearl and Animal Crossing: City Folk Deluxe has setup a new preservation campaign to document all of the DLC that Nintendo has released for Animal Crossing: City Folk on Wii and is appealing to the community for save files to collect as much as possible.
The game received 91 items and 10 exclusive designs pushed via WiiConnect24. Because that distribution data was only available for a short window; the only way to recover it authentically is by exporting the relevant save files and digging through the data. Community efforts have already preserved all the items (including three unreleased ones) as well as most designs and letters but plenty is still missing.

- Indices: The known internal indices for all released design and item DLC packages.
- Credits: Everyone who helped in making this preservation effort possible.
What we need help finding
Save data from Japanese and Canadian French players are of particular interest! Regardless, save data in any language will be helpful for preservation.
- All Nintendo letters that are currently missing. See the letters page for the current status.
- Japan-exclusive design Kintaro apron (きんたろうのはらがけ). Recreations exist, but I need to extract authentic data from save data.
- Official Canadian French names for the Mayor's flag and guard's uniform designs as they appeared in-game.
Save data from Japanese and Canadian French consoles are of particular interest says @SunakazeKun . But any help is appreciated.
If you have a homebrew enabled Wii you can dump your save files easily with SaveGame Manager GX and the project page has plenty of guides and tips. If you don't want to mod your console, you can either take screenshots or you can make a backup of your console's NAND.
@SunakazeKun can be reached right here at GBAtemp, or via their Discord or by e-mail for help with any of this.
