Hacking Odd Brick?

So I powered on my Wii today, and the screen was just black. Not even a health screen. So I then tried restoring a NAND backup with BootMii, but still got the same problem. Yes I can go to the homebrew channel, but no matter what I do it won't even go to the system menu. Any ideas?

Updating officially would probably be a bad idea because you would lose bootmii so if it doesn't work you'd screw yourself harder.

Is bootmii in boot2 or IOS only?

You could try comex's nand formatter and start from scratch. Dangerous and could take a while and you lose everything so best to backup the save games first.

Before that I'd suggest reinstalling the system menu via wad file. Almost sounds like an stubbed ios60 and user error somehow.

Install IOS60 before installing the system menu. Correct?

check the a/v cable if it's connected on the tv and the monitor..

Dude, if he can see bootmii enough to do a nand restore then I am sure his cables are fine.

Okay IOS60 was installed, but System Menu 4.1 U is having a bit of trouble. I keep getting the following error:

Ret: -1035

what exactly happen to your wii?
you just woke up with black out wii?

cause, if wii mote cannot be sync.
for software trouble the only thing i see is a missing "setting.txt"

try to use setting restore with gc support. try to backup first to find out if your setting.txt is missing.

The NAND backup was when everything was working fine, I still had the system menu. I do have Priiloader installed, yes.

As for what happened, there was a blackout in my area and after that my Wii's power supply was busted so I had to use a spare, and that's when everything stopped working.

a possible deffective bluetooth

using a spare psu (not original, a replacement) can kill a bluetooth module...
if you can send me your bluetooth module i can repair it for you. or you can buy one on ebay....

just to be sure if someone can lend you a bluetooth module just to test if your's deffective...
