The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Wii ? Not impossible if we listen rumors. They said that Nintendo would announce next 5th April the N64 title on Wii.

But you can be pretty sure this is April fools, we already got the VC version, no need to complain.

I thought about something like that a long time ago, and I would love that, but I think it's kinda stupid actually doing a remake.

In a week we'll know if it's just a rumor or not..

I hope they don't do it. Its stands as the best game ever (in some people's opinions), porting it to Wii could ruin that. This is just a bad rumor. Theres two lines claiming this and no source. NO!

I hope our April fools joke has more originality, this is probably "rumoured" every year.

This is obscene. If there WERE going to be any such announcement, it would be on more than that one site, also, they would have taken the time to write out a clear article about it.

And about the "WiiMakes" that apparently have so many people up in arms, have you ever thought there may be another reason behind these "WiiMakes???" Case in point: Pikmin. Also, a lot of people would like some of their old games to be experienced with the new controls. For me, personally, the Metroid Prime WiiMakes are VERY exciting. MP3:C has some of the best controls of any game and now those same controls are being brought to the other two installments of the trilogy.

Also, what is with people and the OoT fanboyisms? I guarantee there's no bigger LoZ fanboy here than I, but OoT is simply NOT the best game in the franchise. It's still a PHENOMENAL game and I have sunk many, many hours into it, but it's certainly not the best LoZ and therefore is not the greatest game ever made. =_=;; It was revolutionary for its time, but it hasn't aged as well as some other LoZ games (read: Majora's Mask).

I REALLY hope they don't. OOT is possibly the greatest game ever made and no changes should be made to it, so I really hope this is false.

Oh, come on. No one is really going to buy the game for a fourth or fifth time, are they? Nintendo knows much better than that, I'm sure. This is one of the worst April Fool's jokes I've seen in ages.

...Of course they are, you underestimate how well loved the game is.

@Sicklyboy - the comparison would be forgiving all medical debt, not making healthcare illegal!

Although I still don't agree, medical debt is rarely a choice, whereas enrolling in university is certainly a choice

College costs, college loans, book prices, the entire thing is predatory, oft touted as essential to a successful life for my generation and the ones since, and completely unaffordable without putting you through an insane financial hardship for literal decades in many situations.

Many of the same issues can be seen for the insanely predatory healthcare and health insurance system in the US

It's important for society to be healthy and educated. If those things can't happen because all of the institutions that prop up those industries make it unattainable for all but a small portion of society, then your society is largely going to be disease ridden, dying, and uneducated in very short order.

Issue is it's too rich of a coperation already with bad sugar diets causing diabetes and killing teeth a new set of teeth around 90k
  • cearp @ cearp:
I agree it's not easy for the average American, let alone the ones below that average. Free / cheaper healthcare is much more important I think than free university education.
Of course like @mthrnite said, why not both. But I doubt both will get solved at once, and surely healthcare is top priority.

And if the concern is that "well we can't trust the government to intervene for this because the government can't do anything right and wastes tons of money" then holy shit push for a better government. • cearp @ cearp:
@K3Nv2 that's crazily expensive. how long will that take to pay off?

Although diet is largely education, people don't need to go to university to learn what's healthy and what's not,
it's the whole country, big corporations and advertising that is to blame for leading most of the population to believe that poptarts and froot loops are healthy to feed a child
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i would think the population knows better but with food deserts and abject poverty, sometimes a poptart gonna have to do.

As someone who went through the grade school system in the US some time within the past 30 or so years, not nearly enough is done to promote and educate on how to eat healthy in a way that is feasible to do on a regular basis and also affordable. Eating healthy is, comparatively, fucking expensive. So is eating unhealthy, but in many cases eating unhealthy is more affordable than eating healthy
