Gaming Oblivion takes long to start :S

So I just got Oblivion for my PC, but it takes so awfully long for it to start.

What happends is that I open up the launcher, press play and then I have to wait a minute before it starts to boot.

Anybody know a fix or something? I have tried reinstalling it.

I'm on the ver 1.2.something
Also wondering if anybody knows a fix for the Alt+Tab crash too.

I don't suppose you have alot of mods? That shows startup down.....also the add ons make it take a while to load...

Nope. I have no mods installed.

tbh, a minute doesn't sound long at all. Especially when compared to some loading I've had to get used too... >_<

Just press play and then make yourself some coffee/tea/hot chocolate.

Yea it's probably nothing...oblivion was always known for longish loading times

(At least its not as bad as gmod)

There's not really much of a problem waiting a minute, but its kinda annoying.

I also fixed the Alt+Tab problem.

Have you ever defragmented your hard drive before? Part of taking a long time to read is if you haven't done that, as the files would then be found all over the hard drive and so it would take a long time to read all the data from the game because it is split all over the hard drive.
