Hacking O3DS rxtools and its been a while

You can use Luma3DS without A9LH.
Why would you ever need to use the 3DS without an SD card, though?

Im doing a bit of homework to see how its done and a shortage of sd cards plus resell value is in question due to where I live.
Don't want the person im sell the 3ds to freak out and think its bricked.
I dislike people who sell you free info, and it happens a lot here. Information is money.
uh, Im not going rage here, it would be rude.

You can uninstall A9LH by restoring a backup of SysNAND without A9LH.

Hi guys!
Its been a while since I touched my 3ds, and now I want to use it back again.
I managed to install rxtools, I'm on 4.4 firmware and 10.1 emunand.
I need to use internet to enter to emunand and copying cia's takes a while.
Is any of this things changed? Are there better cfw that fix this "issues"?
I want a CFW that doesnt requires internet and copies CIA's faster or loads 3ds from SD faster. Is there a CFW right now that could do this?

Thanks!
You should install A9LH and never worry about anything

There will be no worries as long as OP uses JKSM to export all save files before updating to 9.2 and import the saves again after updating. With a setup like OP has, any game the requires 6.x save encryption will spit out a corrupt save error should OP immediately update to 9.2.

I get that A9LH is the zenith of 3DS modding. It's a fairly straightforward process for going from stock to A9LH. However, when you're going from a 4.X setup to A9LH. there are some extra steps that need to be taken because of how pre-*hax CFWs compensated in the early days of EmuNAND.

Does a9lh have cheating system like gateway?
No, but NTR does. (which you can use with A9LH)

By using a 9.2 SysNAND or an EmuNAND with firmware90.bin you can boot Gateway.
Then once Gateway A9LH support is released you can switch.

I'm just correcting their misconceptions.
There's no reason not to install A9LH. The process is mostly automated, and the risk is minimal as long as you follow the guide.
The "a9lh wil brik ur 3ds11!!" crap is just hearsay. I have yet to see any proof of a brick happening due to something besides user error.
There was a topic an hour ago or so of a user that hat a blank screen and couldn't fix it even by restoring previous backups and updating A9LH

Although i have a9lh installed on my main new 3ds xl, i have o3ds with rxtools, as i never bothered to update.

Why is rxtools bad now? I was going to switch to reinand, but after timing each cfw boot time, rxtools boots 5 seconds faster than reinand, so i ended up keeping rxtools.
It's not bad, just outdated. It's nice though how the 3ds has become so pwned that most people's concern isn't how to hack their system but rather which setup is the best.

OP: Just read about different CFW such as luma, cakes, or reinand and determine for yourself which one suits you best. You should also read about a9lh and decide if it's worth it or not.

Shortage of SD cards? Your location on your profile shows you in the US. Amazon IS a thing.

I'm not sure what exactly is going on with that one, but I suspect it to be fault of BBM as opposed to a9lh (lesson learned boys and girls, don't mess with software that's been altered from dev tools and isn't open source), or potentially because the OP of that thread was monkeying around with something that they shouldn't have and either wasn't aware of it or didn't want to own up to it. That being said, people's systems die out with completely legitimate systems as well, so a one off instance doesn't really prove much of anything. I don't recall anyone claiming a9lh made the system "unbrickable", but rather it has tools that can be used to recover from bricks (case and point, even though the person who's system is mucked up can't get into sysNAND, they most certainly can boot into other tools, so potential for recovery IS there...in the mean time, there's always the opportunity to use it as a linux machine)
