Small update today; v1.4.1, which now points NX-Update-Checker towards nx-versions for versions.txt.
Thank you. works flawless!

A little idea to implement: maybe it can be possible to do a special WiFi Airplane Mode Notification in the program if the Switch in Airplane mode (or WiFi not connected), cause there's a generic error screen here:

So what do we do with the list so it downloads the updates then..? It seems like this only does half the job I thought it did.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

but is there a legal way to get updates without going online?
Or better yet, download updates from a trusted non-nintendo server so the DNS hacks can still be in-place.

This tool only lets you know which titles have a newer version available.
How users acquire these updates is up to them.

v1.5.0 Released; A number of under the hood changes with this release that should help with debugging and QoL changes that have been requested.
  • Logging; Users can now place a "log.flag" file in their nro directory and a log will be produced at the SD root as "NXUC.log". Note that the application will run much slower while logging is active.
  • Ignore List; Users can now place an "ignore.txt" in their nro directory and specify titles they would not like to be informed about. Instructions for filling one out is available in the README.
  • DLC Checker; If it's found that there is DLC listed in versions.txt that you do not have installed for a title, the application will inform you.
  • The different kinds of information being presented has been separated for easier viewing; The three categories displayed are "New Updates Available", "New DLC Binaries Available" and "Available DLC Not Installed"
  • New download code has been adopted and switch-curl 7.69.1-3 is now being used. Prodinfo blanking via Atmosphere's exosphere.ini is the only method tested. If you use a different blanking solution and have issues please switch and try again.

Thanks for update! New build works good, but in the end, after it prints results to the screen, 2 seconds later I've got an Atmosphere's BSOD with error code: 2168-0002 (0x4a8).
My OFW is 11.0.1, CFW AMS M 0.17.0, logs included:

I didn't know about this until now! Thank you for your hard working. It is amazing tool. So cool! Hope one day you will add beautiful GUI design instead of just blank black screen. Again.. Thanks, @8BitWonder

Mind turning on logging, running it with title override and either pasting the NXUC.log here or DM-ing me?
Was hoping the changes in 1.5.0 would have caught the crashes.

I also get the same crash. It also crashes Atmosphere when run in applet mode. I'll send you a PM with my log.

I haven't tried to most recent version, but some versions after 1.2.0 crashed my switch, so I stuck with that version and the files from reswitched discord.

v1.5.1 Released;
  • Fixes a long-standing null-ref bug that was introduced in v1.3.0
  • ignore.txt may now have a descriptor following title IDs, details in the README
Thank you @mathew77 and @Lacius for the log dumps, those really helped me narrow down where it was.

v1.5.2 Released; Yet another bug related update that I'm surprised I didn't stumble into sooner.
  • Fixed an issue present in all versions v1.0.0 - v1.5.1 where the first local title parsed would be ignored during update/DLC checking
This may have been the issue responsible for some folks in the past looking for (known) updates for titles and not being informed about them.

v1.5.3 Released; Another bug-fix update that allows all entries under a title to be parsed.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented more than 10 entries being loaded for a title, making games with many DLC that were installed appear as though they were not (I'm looking at you, Smash)
Sorry these bugs weren't found/patched all in the same update, I realize it may be annoying updating this app every other day.
Though this should (hopefully) be the last bug needing fixed for a while.
