ntoskrnl.exe windows xp Help ?

I'm having problems with my Insprion mini hp. Every time I start it up its says WINDOWS ROOT>\SYSTEM32\NTOSKRNL.EXE IS CORRUPT OR MISSING. I need help!?! plz Also I Don't have a cd/dvd drive .

Yes... I tried the bootable xp soultion, and it still didn't work .

Seen this before.
If you've been messing around with your copy of Windows, ntoskrnl.exe may have been renamed.

Booting into a different OS and just going to the folder might give you more of an idea what's going on.
