No, NSZ after installed are the same size as NSP game, NSZ isn't an official format. NSZ is only for compression purpose and smaller size in term of format.

32 gb is ridiculously small, though. Could you even install more than one big game, like Mortal Kombat? Your priority should be to get a bigger card.

Huh... Thanks for your replies both of you! But well can I load a Rom without installing it?

If you are using Atmosphere, NSP files must be installed. If your problem is space, don't install NSP files off the SD card. Doing that would unnecessarily require twice the space. Install your NSP files over a USB, FTP, or internet connection instead.

Without a bigger SD card, you're limited to 32GB plus the size of your Switch's internal storage.

I always install them like that but how big The games Size are Is The problem

If you have a 32GB SD card, and a game is 10GB, then you actually need 20GB of space on the SD card (10GB for the NSP, and 10GB for the game after it's installed). If you install over a USB connection instead, you only need 10GB free space on the SD card for the game (the NSP will be on your computer).

I do never install them like that only usb or Internet

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You need SX OS for XCI mounting.
Can it be xcz then?

I know a bigger SD would solve this I only wondered if this Was possible for no need of one but thanks

In that case, you need a bigger SD card. 32GB is fairly small.

I don't use SX OS, but my understanding is you can't mount XCZ files, only XCI files. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Regardless, to mount XCI files, you will need to have them on an attached USB device to play them. It should also be noted that TX's future is uncertain due to legal issues, and SX OS may someday no longer be supported with updates and support for newer system versions.

So I understand nsz/xcz Is like Zip that The file in a Zip cannot be Used as The Zip Is rec not The file. And can a nsz be Used On yuzu or an emulator I would as I own a pro controller.

NSZ and XCZ are analogous to ZIP files, sure. Elements of the games have been compressed, and they need to be decompressed to be installed or played.

My understanding is Yuzu works with XCI and NSP files, but not with XCZ and NSZ files. I've never used Yuzu, so somebody correct me if I'm mistaken.

OK so nsz would be only for faster online Download for switch consoles. If yuzu cannot use them I have already Download a conversuon tool. Thanks all of you for your replies.

I hope Yuzu works well for you. If you have issues, I recommend buying a larger microSD card for your Switch instead. 256GB or larger is usually recommended on a hacked Switch (128GB would probably suffice if you're willing to delete older games from time to time).
