...half ass rpg...
I think he just noticed terraria getting popular. Before the rpg elements were started to be introduced (1.7.3), I think it was awesome. Minecraft was good for sandbox, terraria good for rpg. Now minecraft adds shit like alchemy, dragons, exp, etc. etc.
The only thing that wasn't the best idea was hunger.

Whut ? best idea was hunger ? why do you need that in a sandbox game ? also who ask for hunger bar please tell me the name ?
Hope this helps valwin.

yes it did :D

dont know what people have against the later updates... on my laptop, minecraft between 1.0 and 1.7 or something was constantly lagging. at least from 1.8 onwards, it ran smooth. add to that mods like opticraft...

anyway, im pretty sure minecraft would lose quite a lot of its appeal to me, if i was to play it with those HD packs (wouldnt run anyway, but xD) its a simple lego game and it should look like it. i also cant really imagine it looking like modern games...

though, obviously, this kind of game isnt for everyone. some people just dont like it and thats fine, i can even understand those that say, compared to the 10$ game, the 30$ game seems like a total ripoff, cause it kinda is. then again, the guy can ask for as much money as he wants. and to most people, this game has already outdone games in the 50-60$ range by months of playtime so... its maybe not that uncalled for.

anyway, i like it, and i hope this new guy brings up some nice ideas in the future

You people are stupid. If all you can see is BUGSBUGSBUGSISSUESBUGSBUGSBUGSISSUESBUGSMOREBUGSSTUPIDBUGS in Minecraft, you have no idea what you're doing in it, have no creativity in it, or don't know what it's about. Those bugs? Yeah, they rarely detract from gameplay. Minecraft is the only game apart from Pokemon that I've most likely clocked in over 300 hours on. Building. Or doing random things. Or just crafting.

So you say $30 for a game that will give me endless replay value is still not worth it? And yet $60 for a damn rehash like CoD is? Are you people nuts? Yeah, the game has bugs. Those bugs are not gamebreaking. Sometimes doors don't work on multiplayer. Sometimes there're bugs you can even exploit. News Flash: All games have that.

Guess what. None of that is nessesary to play Minecraft. Minecraft is still the exact same game it was back in Beta or Alpha. Just with a few added perks that some people wanted. The only thing that wasn't the best idea was hunger. But guess what. You can turn that off with a simple mod.
I never said I didn't like it anymore. I just think that the new elements don't fit in. I ignore them.

That's one of the wonders of minecraft. It's not like it shoves alchemy/RPG elements in your face. If you're really content with doing so, you could easily just do everything you used to do prior to the update.
