He wasn't doing shit anyways. Oh well, I've nearly moved on to Terraria, so jeb can have fun with the failed updates.

Make a note when you edit someone's post within the quote box.

That's a business plan I could really get behind.

Didn't he already announce that he was quitting a while ago to work on his new card game-thing ("I am so rich I can do whatever I want with this money: The Videogame")? Or am I just remembering it wrong?

i like minecraft... but the game is far from the price they put it.

30$? i mean c'mon... the games has TONS of flaws, how can anyone give it perfect score is absurd.

although the review does have its "bad points", it does indeed make a few good ones as well... worth a watch in my opinion.

Notch is a fine programmer but Minecon has showed that he's both a terrible businessperson, and a terrible "leader" of anything. There is a lot of coordination and networking that the lead developer has to do and Mojang is better off with him out of a leadership role.

Now find some more work for the resident sprite artist that can showcase his talents, Mojang.

Only watched a bit of that review but criticising the graphics that much? REALLY?! Notch and co may have been lazy in not hiring an artist to make the default textures look better but they didn't really need to because the community have built such a huge ealth of packs and patches to remedy this.

Anyway, full story. Not a big issue. Jeb had pretty much taken over at this point anyway (he's the main guy for the debugging from what I've seen) and I honestly don't care.

The review is shitty but saying "There's patches to fix that" that AREN'T from Notch's team is not a merit for the review. If you release a bad product that's only good with patches, then it's still a bad product at its core.

As for the graphics, I think they look stupid and there are indie games that come out with plenty of interesting graphical styles that work well. I think Minecraft isn't one personally. Even Terraria had some fun 2D graphics.

As for the stepping down, I'm pretty sure he's working on Scrolls anyway, so there's no surprise. Although I don't think he should just leave the game hanging on someone else's agenda when there's still issues with it.

Seems like every one is bitching about graphics these days.

If you dont like the graphics of a game then don't f*cking play it!
