I play N64 roms on my original Xbox, and since Goldeneye plays near-flawlessly, I don't care for N64 emu on the wii until Rare's games can be successfully injected inside of VC games, and bootable to play. The only downside to Goldeneye on the Xbox is slight slowdown at times, (hardly noticable) and the explosions are fully desaturated (greyscale, instead of orange).

If Rareware N64 injects were possible i think we would already have them, seeing their popularity.
BTW, Not64 runs GoldenEye great too (lack of skybox though) and with a variety of control options, most notably IR aiming which really breathes new life into the classic FPS.

Goldeneye is now running near-flawlessly on Not64 on the Wii. In fact, you can also play Banjo Kazooie near flawlessly in addition to a few other lesser exciting Rare N64 games. DK64 runs near perfectly, but has a weird zoom in and out issue, Tooie runs well, but not as well as Kazooie. Conker doesn't work yet. Perfect Dark works very very well. Diddy Kong racing works flawlessly as well. Blast Corps also works brilliantly.

check out the latest revision of Not64 if you haven't yet (and be aware that you may have to change audio settings within the emulator to get the games to run at correct speed as sometimes they'll run to fast if you don't fix that), its definitely working very very well. Don't hold your breath on any Rare N64 injects in VC games ever working though.

um no it doesnt as well as having the annoying cam issue it is full of micro crashes that will cause the wii to freeze. i classify it as still unplayable.

hmm may be your wii. I've played a solid hour into the game until the camera issue just became too much of an annoyance for me. Definitely playable though, hasn't caused my wii to crash either, (though I did have to change an audio setting to get it working at correct speed).

the fucking thing crashes as soon as you climb the rope after coming out of the 1st cave and turning left there's a tree right before the gate there climb it and jump on the rope up there than it shits itself. there's many spots like that in the game that causes it to freeze one of them being a critical spot to advance soon as you go near it BOOM even if you turn the follow cam off. it's impossible to play it all the way through.

I'm telling you man, I've done that before and it didn't crash for me, I don't know whats up with your Wii, maybe its your DK64 rom? Try getting a different one. Not that I even recommend it, the camera issue is too annoying, but it IS playable without crashing.

so i have downloade it, and tried a few games. and it seems to run alot faster than wii64. theres is just one problem, and that is that is not saving my game, how do i fix that?

This might seem like a stupid question and I am sorry that it may seem like one. Ok I put all the files in in there appropriate places on the SD card. I go to the homebrew channel to launch it I get "Error" "This is not a valid Wii application". What am I doing wrong? I don't know if this helps but I am on HBC version 1.0.8 IOS58 v24.31.

Edit: Never mind I just read a post above that says I need to be on HBC 1.1.0

wel i can save manualy by going in to current rom, and save, and then go back to the game. but arent there a way to autosave like on wii64?

If you have autosave enabled for the emu, yes you could also save to SRAM or EEPROM from ingame for the various N64 roms, just like the real thing.
Beware, the roms that have the : in the rom name, they must be renamed with a tool in order to save properly.
