EDIT: oops... I'm actually not really new here, I just haven't been on in about a year XD

Hello, I am new here but I am by no means new to homebrew (I've done tons of SSBB moveset hack stuff and whatnot). However, the subject of backup usb loading has intrigued me and I have not been able to comprehend the process of installing the "USB loader GX."

I hear that it is a good idea to back up your wii before trying to install it with Bootmii. I already have the HBC and I do not have bootmii (at least, I do not believe so... I used banner bomb).

My questions:
1. How do I install Bootmii via the HBC and should I use boot2 or ios?
2. How do I back up my wii?
3. Can someone give me the BEST tutorial out there for installing the USB loader GX? There's just too many to sort through and I don't know which ones are the most recent and up-to-date.

any decent help would be greatly appreciated... if you don't have anything nice to say then keep it to yourself, lol.

1. You run the Hackmii installer. Install it as boot2 if you can.
2. There's an option in Bootmii
3. The one in the Wii Hacking stickies.

if you never ever used it, google SD card formatter.
DL it, run it with your SD card already in your computer,
Put the hackmii file on it.
And go put it in your Wii.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
