Hacking normal wii discs and wii remote

ive had my wii softmodded for a while and usually use usb loader to load games but i tried to use a normal disc and it doenst seem to show up in the disc channel and if i boot up the wii with a disc in the wii the wii remotes dont work anyone had this problem and have a fix??

Wait, do you see the Disc Channel prompting you to update? If not, then use Gecko or NeoGamma to play real games. As for the Wiimotes not functioning, I don't have anything to say.

Try what Slyakin said, try Neogamma to play your games, just choose the dvd option.

The OP can also install priiloader and turn off disc updates along with online updates.

priiloader is installed and updates are off i can load games through neogammer but if theres a disk in when i boot up the wii the remotes dont seem to work untill i remove the disk and reboot the wii

Fixed this problem by selecting gorce disc games to run under ios249 in priiloader
