Hacking noob question

my ps3 had the yellow light of death once and i lost all of my save data including my final fantasy 13 save data andwell anone who played it must know how tedious it is so im wondering if i can use someone else's savedata and still save and get trophies

well this happened almost 2 years ago when ylod wasn't widely known to happen
and i was stupid

i also created a backup for my ps3 just to keep sure that i will have my save data also when bricking my ps3
