Also read I should delete all the ios that are 200 or higher, is this true?
kinda ... it's one of the last things you should do since some homebrew you might be using might use some of them but there are two things:
1. Delete anything 200 or higher.
2. Put the official IOS stubs 200 or higher back. They were put there to get rid of some of the homebrew ones so your homebrew apps wouldn't work. Nintendo expects those to be there still.

Busy grind, anyways... Just went through my homebrew, probably the only thing that doesn't suffer from random crashes or works are the NES and SNES emulators I got and a cheat code manager. Everything else either doesn't load up, crashes randomly, or acts like an epileptic at a laser show.

My only major concern is WAD manager doesn't work so it'll be a lot harder to track down what channels I installed and then just normally deleted rather than a total delete.

Also where can get the official IOS stubs and are there any I should save for last?

Thanks for the help so far Max.

One more question. If I parition the USB to WBFS, can I still use other programs, files, documents, etc. ? 'Cuz I'm using a USB that's also being used as a backup for my friend's computer, and I don't want to break it.

If you format it to wbfs all data on it will be GONE, unless you create a second partition for it first.
There are tools that can shrink the existing partition and keep the data.
But WBFS partitions are deprecated anyway. Use a real FS instead.

And if there are important files on it DO NOT USE IT AT ALL
None of the FS-libs is really save to use.
The all corrupt the fs from time to time.

First thing you'll need to do is put back some of the softmod so things will work right.
I don't know if you have internet in the Wii and if your HBC is up to date or not so to be safe install the latest HBC first (rename it "boot.elf" and put it in a folder in the "apps" folder to run it with your existing HBC) and then use DOP-Mii to install a patched ios36 with ALL the patches. (use AHBPROT if it asks you.) You can then tell WAD manager to load ios36 when it starts up and it should work.
Now, some important information to know first:
1. Do you have BootMii as Boot2 (It should tell you when you install the new HBC)?
2. Do you have PriiLoader installed? (If you have it, it should load instead of the system menu if you hold down "reset" while starting up the Wii.)

Edit : Actually, I think MMM uses AHBPROT to install WAD's so at least for THAT you wouldn't need the patched 36 but their might be other things that could use need it.

Edit 2 : Also, assuming you have internet in your wii, DOP-Mii can download and install any version of any IOS. Also, the NUS downloader can do the same on the PC and optionally pack them into WAD's for you.

Edit 3 : Another interesting and seemingly applicable note I recently discovered as far as you wanting to save your VC and WiiWare collection is that WiiMod (which you can get on one of the download pages on ModMii) can extract game channels to WAD's as long as you have them inside the Wii on it's NAND (few homebrew can get at channels from the SD but you can always copy it back over before extracting.) You just go to Advanced options and then to "Any Title Manager" and the instructions are on the bottom of the screen. As I understand it, WiiMod also uses AHBPROT and so doesn't use a patched IOS which could help in the process.

Get IOS stubs with NUSD for windows. Choose all IOS2XX's.

Question about DML and a question about WBFS

For DML and NGC backups:
I was wondering if we will ever see USB HDD backups available? I have a lot of NGC games that I ripped, but obviously they won't all fit on a 32 SDHC. I'm just wondering if I should shell out on several SDs now or if I will ever see the release of a USB HDD compatible DML.

WBFS:
I had my WBFS folder set up on a NTFS HDD. All of my backups were formatted to .wbfs and it worked fine, but as I added more files to my hard drive, latest CFG loader can mount my HDD but it can't see any of the files. It says it doesn't know where my WBFS folder is. Once I moved those files to an empty HDD it worked fine again. What was the original problem?

There's apparently one in the works now called devolution, apparently working and everything but not completley bug free so at the moment unreleased http://gbatemp.net/topic/322284-devolution/

Im clueless on this all I can speculate is the more files the usb loader has to scan through the more trouble it has finding certain things, the way i got round this is by partitioning my drive in two and using one set partition for wii games and one for everything else, also makes it a little safer should anything go wrong with one of the partitions, you dont lose everything

I downloaded VBA GX for the Wii, but it says it cant find the USB directory when I wish to load the GBA games from my USB HDD.

In the root of my HDD is vbagx/roms and /saves and the ROMS are in the vbagx/roms.

How do I get VBA GX to recognize my HDD?

Yeah

EDIT: Hold on, which boot.dol we talking about? I may be mistaken.

the boot.dol you loaded vba gx from.

and is the folder itself named "vbagx/roms" or is it a "roms" folder inside "vbagx"

Yeah I have boot.dol in the root.

No the folder is called "vbagx" and inside that folder are two folders: "roms" and "saves" with the .gba files in the "roms" folder.

When I click USB it says "USB Drive not found!"
