Sorry if these questions have already been answered, but how do you install the latest version of AnyTitle Deleter?
You take a sledge hammer and smash your Wii.

Edit: I'm sorry, your statement was so similar to "how do I destroy my Wii" that I got it mixed up. ATD is one of the most dangerous apps there is, and you clearly don't even know how apps work. I'm not giving a blind man a rocket launcher and telling him to try and shoot the one bad guy in a crowd full of orphans.

He can not hurt others only himself so its fine imho.

Its "installed" the same way most other wii homebrew is:
simply copying it to a location where your preferred loader can find it.
Probably SD:/apps/
Nothing special about it.

But keep in mind that my believe that one should not stop (most) people from harming themselves against ones advice, makes anytitle deleter no less dangerous.

I consider myself pretty good at this stuff, but I still get nervous using ATD, because it sometimes thinks you pressed a button twice, even if you only pressed it once. If you hit "A" to pull up options on it, you can end up deleting something by accident. I have a boot2 Wii, so I can recover from it, but it's still something I don't like doing.

Btw, what cIOS are most people running on at the moment? Also, is it safe to update via Nintendo, or is there no point in doing so?
.....Well I can't speak for others, but here is my current Wii's State:
Code:
-Firmware / System Menu 4.3U 2010-09-08 Update
-BootMii Beta6 Installed as boot2v4
-Priiloader v0.7 Using r122 hacks_hash.ini
-HBC 1.08
-DVDx v2
-Waninikoko's cIOSx Rev21 (d2x v6):
ÂÂÂÂCIOS249 with IOS56 Base
ÂÂÂÂCIOS250 with IOS57 Base
-cMIOS rev5 (GameCube) Using MIOS V10
-Herme's CIOS Rev4:
ÂÂÂÂCIOS202 with IOS38 Base
-Herme's CIOS Rev5.1E MOD by Rodries:
ÂÂÂÂCIOS222 with IOS38 Base
ÂÂÂÂCIOS223 with IOS37 Base
ÂÂÂÂCIOS224 with IOS57 Base
-CIOS236 copy of IOS36 with Trucha Bug, Version check, ES Identify and Nand Access Patched
As for updating via Nintendo...Don't!!! It's more hassle than it's worth considering all the alternative methods available. The most comprehensive and easiest method of updating your Wii is using XFlax's ModMii. Take a look at it, and I'm sure you'll agree.

Thanks for the detailed look into your setup and informing me on updating. Can I get most of those files from modmii?
As for the hard drive, I'm using a different one which works on USB Loader GX and is almost identical, but I'm still planning on verifying my WBFS game partition since the problem probably lies with the drive being corrupted, as you say. How does that happen though? By adding a corrupted .iso?

Thanks again to everyone!
Yes, you can get all the files listed from ModMii with the exception of CIOS202. I use cIOS202[38]v4 while ModMii gives cIOS202[57]v5. The difference is only an issue if you use old programs, so don't worry about it.

Hi,

I recently noticed my HDD is one of those which have lag issues introduced in the following thread: http://gbatemp.net/t263019-ciosx-rev21-controller-lag-fixed
I was very happy to see that there is a fix for it, but I can't seem to get it working.

All I want to do is fix the controller lag issue and it's clear that it can be fixed by applying cIOSX rev21d2x v6 correctly, but I don't know why it's still not working.

In effort to try fixing this issue AFTER successfully installing cIOSX rev21d2x v6 following the guide illustrated in the following thread: http://gbatemp.net/t277659-ciosx-rev21d2x-...another-hot-fix,

1. I tried changing current IOS to IOS236 that's been patched with cIOSX rev21d2x v6:
BUT in any homebrews, changing current IOS to 236 or others does not simply work. It works for the session, but when I launched them again it's reverted back to IOS58.
I tried deleting IOS58 and it decides to now stay with IOS61. I re-installed IOS58 because that was a dumb move, but no matter what I do changing current IOS to anything else than IOS58 don't save its setting.

2. I tried changing IOS of Cfg. USB Loader from IOS248 to either IOS249 or IOS250 when starting a game:
BUT both of them throws [FRAG] ID MISMATCH [] error. Starting a game with IOS248 works fine.

If anybody can help me, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you guys!

After days of research, I figured it out. Just in case anyone in the future (or present) has a similar problem like I had, I'm posting how I did it.
Just be sure to follow this guide: http://gwht.wikidot.com/d2x and you will be fine.

I'm not sure if this is against the rule to post other website's link, but this really can help others who might be in trouble like me so please be flexible just on this one.

As for others trying helping newbies on this thread, you all mean a great deal to the community.
Thank you.

What's in that guide isn't necessary or practical. Even if you needed to make Cfg load 248, there is a better way to do it. The meta.xml file is replaced when doing a normal update, but adding "ios = 248" to the config.txt file will be permanent, although a second slower during boot up.

This reminds me of something I built once to get around exactly this problem! Build a forwarder dol (ie. FIX94's v11 beta 3 forwarder), and replace all instances of "meta" with "something-else", then create a copy of the apps meta.xml, rename it "something-else.xml", then add whatever arguements you want to it. This could come in handy if u want to autoboot a game, or specify a specific cIOS, or something like that, and it has the added benefit of not requiring multiple boot.dol's... so when u update one app, all the forwarders using different meta.xmls also get updated.

Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Clean Rip has a bug that often results in it stopping half way through the rip.

@Happydance: You realize you will need to use an NTFS drive for a full ISO backup? You can either use Wii Backup Manager to convert wbfs files to ISO's, or you can use Cfg USB Loader and add the following lines to "SD:\usb-loader\config.txt"
Code:
install_partitions = iso
ntfs_write = 1
Each of those has to be in a new line or it won't work.

frist time i heard clean rip, it' won't hurt to try even if has a bug

so if i insert that code on Cfg USB Loader's config i can make a full dump i a use an NTFS HDD?

BTW thanks guys, it just surprise me that there's so much tutorial to hack the wii so little how to make a propper 1:1 backup

Don't want to interrupt or anything but I have a quick question. I just recently hacked my wii and installed a bunch of programs into it including Darkcorp. Okay I'll admit, I installed this program without knowing what it did and now I'm having some regrets about it.

I understand it has some bricking potential if I play wii backups through the disc channel, but does this also include game discs I've purchased?

LOL, what? ...it's not the playing of backups through the disc channel that is the risk ....it's performing the modification that allows it that is the risk...once CORPed successfully, the wii doesn't know the difference between DVD backup and purchased, and the risk of brick is the same (none). the level of risk during install is somewhat debatable IMO, but there is risk...

personally, i don't think the risk is all that significant (so long as a power outage doesn't happen during installation of the SM IOS)--i have the latest DarkCORP installed presently and have had no problem with any CORP version i used prior....

if you want to remove DC, modmii can do that for you....

If you want to browse the contents, you can do so through WiiXplorer or convert it with Wii Backup Manager.

Like brausm08 said, it's the install process that is risky. Now that you have it, you might as well keep it. It is potential brick recovery. I'm not a fan of DarkCorp since it is usually used for piracy, but I recognize it does have it's uses outside of piracy.
