I'm going to check it out too, thanks. I've not been following the scene for a few months now and I haven't played my Wii in a while; just now, while trying to load my USB Loader GX, it says "Games: 0" (I've actually got 150GB worth) and the games won't load. Would you have any idea why?I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was because of GX. Try Cfg and see if it works.

I haven't updated (still on 4.1E) or anything and the HDD is working fine, so I don't understand what's wrong.4.1 is the optimum SM version, so it's good you haven't updated.

Btw, what cIOS are most people running on at the moment?cIOS d2x v6 was recently released, and it is a huge deal for USB loading. The alt dol method is no longer necessary if you use those cIOS and the latest version of Cfg. That means games like Metroid Prime Trilogy can be played normally. Use ModMii to download 249[56] d2x v6 and 250[57] d2x v6 and install them with a wad manager. 249 should cover just about everything. Try 250 if it doesn't work.

Also, is it safe to update via Nintendo, or is there no point in doing so?It's not safe, and there is no point.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated. No problem.
Thanks again. I downloaded 249[56] d2x v6 and 250[57] d2x v6 and Cfg really is as cool as you say.

Odd... be sure to let us know if cfg loader has the same problem. How is your HDD set up? Since you say it's been a while I'd guess it's a single wbfs partition?

cIOS: look for d2x rev21 (it's stickied in the hacking section) - it has amazing compatibility.
As for updating: no need. There isn't really anything beyond 4.1 except stuff that make it harder to softmod. 4.1 is pretty much the greatest version to be on.
Yes, my HDD is a single wbfs partition. Thanks for stopping me from updating -- I take it nothing's changed, and 4.1 is still the optimum SM version? As for the cIOS, I've looked into d2x rev21, and it seems that it really has incredible compatability. Should I install it even though I've installed 249[56] d2x v6 and 250[57] d2x v6 (not sure what rev) like JoostInOnline suggested?

If it was working beforehand, and nothing was changed, maybe the drive has become corrupted. If you want to verify your WBFS game partition (or whatever format it may be) I suggest scanning it using
Wiimms ISO Tools. If it is a WBFS partition you need to use the
wwt's check command to check the formatting and
wwt's verify command to check all the WBFS game images.
As for USB Loader GX being full of fail. Well I can't agree. I've been using USB Loader GX from the beginning without fail, but I guess to each their own. In the end use what works and is easiest. The great thing is with multiple choices, you can even use more than one
