there are many apps out there that can create a common-key.bin for you... CRAP, showmiiwads etc. just copy and paste the new key into your nus downloader directory

Go to settings and force video mode to NTSC.Derp100396 said:I'm having a problem with New Super Mario Bros. Wii on USB Loader GX. was the error a garbled system files corrupt message???ykteng said:This sounds pretty bad for a first post but..
I have a Korean Wii with the region changed to US and System Menu 3.2. It also had cIOSCORP v1 I think. I bought it this way from someone.
I got myself pretty confused when I installed the latest cIOSCORP v3.5, it half-bricked when the System Menu refused to load with an error I cannot remember. Thankfully my instincts told me to install preloader before I upgraded to v3.5 so I managed to get into HBC and WAD Manager from there. I re-installed the original IOS30 so System Menu could boot.
Later I realised the Disc Channel wouldn't detect any backups I've inserted, so (logically) I went to install CIOS30 from v1.
Now Disc Channel works, but my question is, what happened? Is it safe to run my Wii this way?
There used to be a list somewhere on which cIOS is running in which IOS slot with what hacks (and how bad that idea was), but so far the list only exists for v3.5. Why didn't CIOS30 from v3.5 work?

all you had to do was hold reset and load the HBC from preloader and reinstall preloader and it would have fixed your problem happens every time you reinstall the IOS preloader is running on but is a simple fixykteng said:longtom1 said:was the error a garbled system files corrupt message???

I see. Silly me, going a big round to fix this. And there I was, thinking preloader saved my ass!
Thanks!

P.S. yes, to be honest, they load much faster!
