Just decompress the *.zip file on your SD card and execute the application with the HBC. Then, change the parameter of the Shop Channel to "YES" and select "Go". It'll take its time, but you'll at least obtain the latest version of the channel,

I've downloaded some iso files of wii games.. In order to run them for my Wii can i burn them on a DVD after softmoding my device or need to get an external usb drive?

Cheers.. I have only tried Grand Slam Tennis and despite showing the main boot screen with the game name and logo it freezes there.. Is it a game issue or have i done something wrong? also, from the system hacks menu, is there an option that i definitely have to enable?

Exactly the same situation I was in.

Download (Google) WBFS Manager 3.0. It'll format the USB stick for you AND let you transfer the Mario ISO across to it!
My second piece of advice is to download (Google, again!) NeoGamma r7 or r8beta CHANNEL (It'll let you operate through a Wii Channel rather than having to load via Homebrew Browser).

I'm on 4.2. Used Xzxero's guide and after using Trucha to downgrade ios15 I was attempting to restore it and now I get a DSI error and code dump!

What to do next. Don't want to dig a deeper hole

Hello !! help pls ... i downloaded all necessary file to hack my new wii but my problem seems that it cant read all the files in my sd card ... i tried 3 difrnt sd card (4gb scandisk sdhc / transcend 4gb & 2gb non sdhc) cant read anything from them (no boot up of boot.dol) . but when i try to download a channel from nintendo to my sd it can read it & i can also view my photos on the same cards where i downloaded my hackfiles .. i already try format using fat16 & fat32 ..non of them work

You probably don't have the files in the right place. Reread the guide you're using. If you're using xzxero's guide you should have ALL the files on the root of your SD card. The only things you should see when you open your SD card are apps, boot.elf, hacks.ini, private, and wad.

ok, so long story short, i "bricked" my wii trying to play NSMB (pal) on my NTSC launch system with Wiikey 1. I installed HBC, Using the Bannerbomb method and all was fine. Now, i cannot get .ini files to recognize in preloader, cannot change to 3.2 firmwire unsing Anyv.2 (it has a red warning at the top of the screen even though all regions are USA??) and my system only loads to pre-loader when you turn it on. It keeps trying to "initialize network" and fails?? What is my next step, i need to be spoon-fed here(very noob at Wii hacks), because clearly i am missing something. Please help!

What do I have to do to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii
There are so many different programs and hacks available for the Wii and I can't find a proper website/tutorial with a solution for this problem.

This is what I have:
PAL Wii with 4.2e
Wiikey1 1.9g

I have never done anything with softmodding or hacking when it comes to my Wii, so it's still clean.
I never did this because of the risks and my Wiikey worked fine.

Where do I start?

Okay, so the Smash bros problem mentioned last time was solved (Thanks invisable!). But now I met a new problem. It's with WBFS Manager. Whenever I formatted my SD card, put a game in it and plug it into my Wii, it won't read! I've heard solutions like PRIMARY PARTITION, but the hell does that mean D: I really need to get this fixed asap >

Hi i am new(noob) to this and just looking for some help on what i should do next. Been reading alot of guides and posts on what to do but kinda confused myself.


i have the following:

wii 3.4E
BootMii as boot2v4(installed as ios)
HBC
DVDX
(Backing up your NAND)


On the guide i was following the next steps was Patching IOS36 and Installing PreLoader and new cIOS then i read on an other post it is not safe to do this from 3.4E right?

Just wondering what it is i should do next?

I have a Wiikey installed and I haven't done any updates since last year. I want to play NSMB Wii though, but my question is, should I update my Wii? Is there a new Wiikey firmware that I should install first?

Do you already have the BannerBomb save file on the SD card? If so, delete it (SD:/private/wii/title/aktn/content.bin).

1. Only if you want to... However, you can use the Firmware Downgrader MOD v1.24 by Atilla to update to the 4.1 firmware and use the Dop-IOS to update all the available IOS on your console (except the stub ones). NSMB Wii uses the IOS 53 to be executed, so be sure to have it installed.
