Hacking Noob needs some help please

Okay. I went through the softmod guide and started with the basics. I got the HBC to install and ran the nand backup. I could launch the bootmii and that's it. Then nothing else worked from that point. I tried installing a disc launcher and it wouldn't work.

Now here is my main problem. I accidentally deleted the HBC off the channel section in the Wii settings. Now I can't do anything with the softmod. The HBC channel is gone and I want to get the Wii back to it's original state. Where do I go from here?? BTW.....my Wii still works and plays games. I did try to start over from the beginning and re-install the HBC, but it won't do it.

I really want to softmod this Wii. I am a noob when it comes to this, but am very smart with a PC. I bittorrent and install games on my PC without any instructions so I know I can do this. There's just something I'm missing.

Sounds to me like your skipping steps, follow the guide from start to finish and every thing will work.

I tried that and it won't work. I don't think I removed the HBC correctly. I hit the erase button on the Wii settings page. I erased everything off my sd card and then re-downloaded all the stuff I did the first time and tried to do a new install, but didn't work.

bannerbomb dop-ios install patched ios36 then use wadmanager through bannerbomb using patched ios36 to install HBC wad not pretty and probably frowned upon but should work

Never delete channels you installed threw hack with the wii menu. Most likely the HBC did'nt clear right. I would try what longtom1 said.

Yes it is frowned upon. I been wii hacking for a year and I have seen LongTom1's Idea to fix ur problem before. (my old account got deleted for not posting enough) There is a less than 1% chance of breaking. Good luck.
