Tickets is what is used to tell the system you own a game. They are unique.
Sigpatches are patches to the OS system that makes it ignore the signature of the tickets as we can't make them say they are from Nintendo
So backup play needs them

Thanks for the info again! When I format mSD card, is there a specific program I should use? Also, what should I select for cluster size and such?

If your going from exfat to fat32 you will need someone else to help you. I stayed on exfat with no issues and left my samsung evo sd card how it was from the factory

Ok. If I go with ExFAT, how should I go about formatting it? Also, I thought that the Switch only recognizes and uses mSD cards in Fat32 format? Clarification and help appreciated :)

It comes formatted so just insert and go

Actully I am a little wrong. A sub 64gig sd card will be fat32. 128 or higher is exfat. When you put in an exfat sd card first time it will ask to do asn update. That's to get the driver. As we are not going the official way you will need a fat32 sd card (if you didn't get the exfat driver installed earler) and install the system os with the exfat driver then your all ok to go

Thank you so much for your help and info! Since I am keeping my Switch offline, how would I go about updating games if need be? Also, I read on here that the gamecard slot controller can get broken or something when updating system firmware through unofficial means? Is there any truth to that? Further thoughts and help is greatly appreciated :)

Minitool Partition Wizard or guiformat both let you format to FAT32. I don't suggest exFAT since it has corruption issues especially in Pokemon Sword/Shield which have some bugs that can corrupt your card on exFAT.

It won't be broken. You just won't be able to use cartridges on lower firmware if the GC firmware is updated to the latest. Not much reason you would want to do that though.

I just checked my mSD and right now it is in ExFAT. When I reformat card to Fat32, which cluster size should I go with? Also, was planning to update through Choux to 8.1.0. I still would like to use carts though, should I be ok?

32K or 64K is fine. I usually go with 64K as it's slightly faster.
Are you using carts on sysNAND or emuNAND? If you only use carts on OFW sysNAND, you could just use NoGC on emuNAND. But it doesn't matter if you keep your sysNAND up to date.

Um, my Switch only has an SysNAND. Should I update to latest with Choux, or still plan to go up to 8.1.0? Also, should I create an EmuNAND? If yes, is it easy to create one? I was under impression that 8.1.0 is better and not much reason to go to latest. Main concern is being able to play new games, do some save edits, and still hopefully be able to use carts. Further thoughts and help appreciated :)

The main point of emuNAND is so that you can keep your sysNAND clean for online, or keep it untouched on a lower firmware for future exploits.
It's relatively easy.
Follow this guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/setting-up-partitions-for-emummc-with-hekate5-0-nyx.542321/
Use 29856 as the emuNAND size as 29828 is too small in my experience and Hekate won't accept it.
Then if you want your games moved over to emuNAND move the Nintendo folder to SD:\emuMMC\RAW1
Then you can restore your clean NAND backup to sysNAND (hope you have one) to make it clean for online/legit use.

Thank you so much! How do I know if my SysNAND is "clean" or not? I made a SysNAND backup, but it was from LONG ago, and I don't know if I made it right before I started doing save edits. What are my options if my SysNAND is not clean? I am pretty sure that my SysNAND is not clean. [emoji17][emoji20] Also, do I really need EmuNAND if I don’t play games online? My concern is how would I update games I have? I want to just play the new and upcoming games, and also do some save edits. Help is greatly appreciated [emoji4]

Hi guys. Here is where I am at:

My hackable Switch is currently on FW 5.0.1. I only have a SysNAND and only hacking I have done is save edits. I am wanting to upgrade FW to 9.0.1 or whatever it is through Choi. My mSD was in exFat format, and I reformatted it to Fat32. Right now, am backing up Nintendo directory to mSD card, and it is taking about 2 hours. Is this somewhat easy to do? I am following the sdsetup site and guide. ANY help is GREATLY appreciated :)

Update: I cancelled copying Nintendo directory to mSD card after Fat32 reformat, should I go back to exfat? If yes, what should I go with for Allocation size (32kb or 64kb)

Hi guys. I was going to reformat my mSD to Fat32, but read that Fat32 doesn't support games larger than 4GB. On my Switch, some of my games are larger than 4GB I think (They are from the eShop). My question is, would I still be able to play those games with a Fat32 formatted mSD? Thoughts and help greatly appreciated :)

Didn't we answer some of the questions you just asked?
Your nsp installer will take care of the larger then 4gig files if installed over network or usb
Offical bought games will work on a fat32 as they split the files when installing from Nintendo server

Thank you for the info. I am currently transferring from external hard drive to mSD card. After I do that, was going to backup my SysNAND and then use Choi to update to 9.0.1. Is Choi somewhat easy to use? I never used Choi before. Thoughts and help appreciated [emoji4]

Hi guys. I was able to update my SysNAND to 8.1.0 with ChoiNX. I have a concern though, every time I reboot my system, it keeps nagging about a controller update. It gives options for "later", or "update". What can I do? Will it force me to update? If I select "Update", does it just update the JoyCons, or is it a System FW update also? If I go ahead and update the JoyCons, will I still be able to use Jig to enter RCM? Last question, do I need to have internet connection to apply the JoyCon update? Help greatly appreciated! :)

It can be tough to find a seller. I've used paypal to buy before.
Maybe google "TX OS use paypal"
Haha, I have tried searching with "TX OS use paypal", so I can tell you this won't send you the correct page, just google ‘SX OS Paypal or Buy SX OS Paypal".
