Is it just on homebrew? What if you play an official Nintendo game? How about the system menus? If homebrew is the only place it isn't working, your switch is fine. At this stage there are so many variables that come into play that could cause bugs like this with homebrew. I wouldn't worry. Apparently it works fine for some people, and others experience what you are. This is likely a software thing based on the version you have, or the homebrew launcher you're using or both.

Yea, your switch sounds like it's working perfectly fine. Just the current homebrew options. 1.0 Is pretty rare so compatibility is probably the issue.
Sure I read another thread somewhere of someone else on 1.0.0 having sound issues
I have 1.0.0 and I have the same problem. No sound on homebrew except when plugging it on headphones. Most of homebrews crash randomly.
