No display on switch lite, backlight works

Hi,

I have a switch lite that turns on, digitizer works, controls etc all fine.

No display.

Back-light works.

I've seen a number of posts here that look similar and they usually end up inconclusive and the original poster doesn't follow up.

Any things I can check before I replace the display? I have a funny feeling the display is good....so what else would cause the picture to not show?

Note I've checked the lcd ribbon cable is fitted nicely, is there any way to test the FCP connector pins or something?
