I assume you only having backlight issue.
check the backlight connector diode reading when battery and backlight cable disconnected.
First of all I have checked if there is a connection between each wire line and the connector housing it seems all of them are connected. Like attached picture.

Now i will try diode reading when Batterie and backlight cable are disconnected… the long flex cable itself must be connected right?

Hi y'all. I just run into this issue with my Switch Lite.
I don't get any diode reading on backlight connector (the 4 pin one with GND as last pin).
How is this possible?
Main-to-daughter board connector seems ok and continuity seems to be there.
It's just the diode reading that's not beeping at all... why?
Just to know: is it suppose to read something even when daughter board is NOT connected to main one?
Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just put the probes backward, meaning the red on the ground and black on the pins... I get 0.566 on first and third pin, but nothing on second...

EDIT 2: I get continuity for the yellow pin to daughter connector, but not from yellow pin to any other pin on main board. I think I'll just replace the entire daughter board from AE... It's just 7 euros or so...

The daughter board works fine when tested with a good board.

i have also taken the BGA chip from another board, which I know the backlight is working.
Made sure all the balls are good and transferred to this damaged board and still nothing. No 17v.
The output voltages where is it supposed to be at 17v are at Vin...

I also have transferred the BGA chip from board to board and all the backlights work, except for this board! Arghhhhh
A bit late to this post but this you ever figured it out?, I am having a similar issue.

Hi. Check my latest thread. I posted the solution in last reply.
Thanks for the reply.

I ended up replacing the backlight IC chip, the coil inductor and still had no power to the backlight to started testing continuity and somehow power did not go from the cap next to the ribbon cable to the actual ribbon port pin, so I replaced the ribbon cable 29 pin port and magic it works again!

Thanks to everyone in this post.
