Hey all.

I have read that using NNU Patcher means i can update my games even with tubehax enabled.

But i have ran the exploit and then ran NNU Patcher, but the update gets a connection error still.

Any ideas?

I read somewhere that disc-based updates will only download if you are on the latest firmware version, NNU Patcher does not bypass this.
I could be wrong, though, I've spent my entire Homebrew life on 5.5.1.

I am on the latest firmware. But i have tubehax on in case Nintendo decides to release another update.

Its just i saw on another thread someone mention that NNU Patcher would allow me to update my games

I mean, I just don't understand this thinking sometimes. If you want to update your games, connect to the internet and just update them. :( Literally no reason not to. When you're done, put TubeHAX back. 0% risk, 5.5.1 is still the latest and this entire place would be screaming and on fire with screaming and fire if an update was out.

So easy to remove TubeHax, update, then put it back.

The problem is having to remove tubehax, update and then re add it.

I don't use my wii u often at all. So almost every time i come on the wii u i need to update a game. (Mostly i come on when i get a new game)

So this is a problem as it takes time to remove tubehax, update and re add it every time

The thing that is happening it the wii u tries to check for update but tubehax blocks it. This causes the x on the downloads. Rebooting should get rid of it. After rebooting quickly open nnu-patcher and update your games. If you used the USB hack games from that need to be updated with wup installer.

tl;dr nnu-patcher won't work when x is on downloads reboot and open nnu-patcher

Tried that. But by the time i have done the exploit, opened hbl and then opened NNU Patcher, the red x is back and i get the connection error

I agree with other 5.5.1 users. Why fuss with NNU patcher? You said that you had to run the kexploit and then NNU patcher but complained that you might have to switch off Tubehax DNS to do updates the other way. Which way is faster? They're about the same amount of clicks.

I have two wifi connections saved. One with Tubehax and one without. It just takes a second to switch between them, perform the updates and then switch back. It's the easiest method for updating games on 5.5.1. Just do it normally. No need for NNU patcher.
