Hi guys,

I've installed rxtools and updated my emunand to 9.5e. Everything is working great except for the eshop. I already read the eshop spoof thread but it requires a linked and working NNID on emunand.

My issue is that I already formatted my sysnand to unlink it to the emunand, so now I cannot log in into the 9.5 emunand with my NNID.

Any workaround to download game updates? Is the CIA installation the ognly way at this point?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: typo in the title, it should be NNID ON 9.5 emunand. Can a mod change it please? Thanks

I was able to get nnid working with 3 o3DS units by:

Downgrade sysnand.
Create rxtools emunand.
Update emunand from system settings. (in your case, update to 9.5 manually on n3DS)
Unlink nands by formatting sysnand with SD ejected.
Update sysnand to 10.3, link existing nnid, login to eshop to verify.
Downgrade sysnand to 9.2 again.
Apply tubehax DNS on sysnand.
Install menuhax and launch rxtools.
Verify that you can access eshop on emunand.

This may not be the only or the best way to do it, but it worked for me with those o3DS units.
It may work on n3DS, but I haven't tried it yet.
I read through the thread about spoofing for n3DS and it sounds like you need to install only the latest NVER and then run eshop from HANS inside of emunand - you will need yellows8's CIA homebrew launcher.

Yeah, that is an an option but a really don't want to go through a downgrade again. :( i am looking for another way to link it, if possible.

If not, tomorrow will give it a try.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
