I bought a new external hard drive to replace my current one and Nintendon't is being a bit wonkier than usual. I don't know how to explain it but it has become a lot less reliable. Sometimes it only shows half the games i have on the drive, and sometimes it doesn't show any at all giving me the error of "no 'games' folder found" when I know it is on there(Yes i formatted the games correctly), and the load times have increased noticeably since i last tried in my other drive. It is the same case with USB loader GX. I believe the application I used to format the new drive to FAT32 was a dud. I could be wrong, and if i am can someone help me sort through this?

TL;DR Recommend me an application to format HDDs to FAT32 that will play well with windows 10(if that dosen't work i don't know what will)

OK, i have the PAL version of Double Dash on disc, and am loading from nintendont because I don't have a memory card.
At the end of a cup, it tells me the disc tray is open, please close, why? Is it an issue specifically with the PAL version? because, it's annoying -.-

version number of nintendont and settings.

Version 4.432 on Wii 4.3E

Memory Card emulation set to ON, blocks 59 and Memcard Multi is set to ON as well
Load IPL is on
Everything else is on the default settings.
why are you using multi on with 59 blocks? just choose multi no with 251 blvks its the best choice also do you have nintendont on the sd card or usb? if i remenber if you are using a disc and have both sd card and usb inserted it could cause issues.

I think I have issues with nintendont, specifically ripping a memory card for use with the app. iirc, the memory card wasn't detected. I ripped a raw image of the memory card, and it's supposed to work according to the documentation. however, I was unable to get it to work. I'm using cfg usb loader to load the games, but every game was using its own memory card. I then went into nintendont's settings to make sure every card used the same memory card, but that didn't work either. the memory card isn't detected.

what is you memory card named?

r saves stored on the sd card or usb? by the sounds of it, it suggests the usb since that's where my games r stored. and, it sounds like the memory card needs to be named: ninmem.raw in the saves folder? I have mine on the sd card, so maybe that's where the issue is? is there an ftp app for the virtual wii to transfer the memory card to usb?

The saves are stored on the same device as the ISOs.

I figured that when I reread the saves portion of the guide. I'll have to disconnect the drive later to transfer the content over. I have 7 drives that have toggle switches (same enclosure), so I can just temporarily, transpose the drives to transfer over the content from the sd card. :)

He didn't say if it was a real disc or a burned copy.

Good catch!

Do you have Nintendont's settings set to use one card file instead of separate ones? There is FTPii or a better option would be just to use WiiXplorer's FTP server. (FTPii is old and may be harder to get working.)

I went into its settings by holding B rather than relying on cfg usb loader. I set it up to use one memory card, yes. I think the problem is that the raw image of the memory card is not on the usb but rather on my sd card. I just saw them while creating some photos for another member. it might be better just to plug the drive into my laptop. from what I remember, ftp with the wii was unbelievably slow.

It's extremely slow. I'm convinced Nintendo is actually using two tin cans and a piece of string for networking. :/

I have Nintendont on the SD card and don't have any USB attached. ^^
For the first part, I don't know, I'll definitely put on a higher file size :P
