Thanks Adeka, the trouble is I only have 1 free USB port on my Wii, but I have 2x PS3 pads?? How can I connect both?? Sorry for the newbie questions!

Impossible. There's not a multitap adapter for ps3 controllers. There are some for ps2 controllers but some people have issues with them here

Okay, that's what I needed to know, thanks Adeka. Are there any other controllers that I can use 2 of at the same time, besides Gamecube controllers?

I got the games working, but can't figure out why it doesnt recognize my Wii Remote (I am also using a nunchuk) as the controller i want to use.
Is there something else im missing?
Also is multiplayer possible just with wiimotes + nunchuks?

Classic controller. Classic controller pro, Wii U pro controller, Wii remote+nunchuk, ps2 controllers probably

Ace, thanks. So to use 2 Classic Controller Pros I'd just plug them into 2 Wiimotes and I'm good to go? Are there any button limitations to using them over Gamecube pads??

The only button limitation is you need to hold zl for the triggers to be half pressed (shooting water and running at the same time in mario sunshine for example)

... unless you're using the original Classic Controller (without the handgrips), since it has analogue shoulder buttons as well. Then it's just getting used to the different feel of the controller.

Well, i did what said there, which was to press 2 and some other button to choose the button layout you want, but nothing happens!
Im probably just missing a detail somewhere.

Are you using a fake Wii remote or nunchuk?
Thanks guys, so I could just get 2 of these and I'd be good to go then yeah? I can plug in two and play Timesplitters Future Perfect in split-screen? :D

Nintendont does not like third party classic controllers so it might not work at all

Woah! Okay, I'm glad I asked that question! :D It sounds like I might be better off with 2 Gamecube controllers after all then, I'm not sure I'd get on very well with the Classic Controller, unless I upgrade to the Classic Pro. Thanks again Adeka, I really appreciate your help.

Too bad there isn't a usb controller multi tap for pc. that might work. If anyone knows of such a thing, please share.

Sooo, any ideas?

But they are official ones, that's the problem!
so when you use the nunchuck connected to the wiimote what happens? does the wiimote light for 1 player stays connected or all 4?

you can use any combination of controllers you want the only limitation is you cant use 2 hid devices, so even if you were on the wiiu with 4 usb doors you couldnt use 2 ps3 controllers.

but you can use any combination for instance i played mario party 4 players with this combination

GC controller trough wii gc controller port
Ps3 controller trough USB
Classic controller trough the wiimote
Wiiu pro controller

you can do any combination you want except usb controllers are limited to 1 doesnt matter if your wii has 300 usb ports only one hid device trough the usb doors,of ciurse if that device has more than one entry for controllers it can do multiplayer also.
