probably someone who haven't play the game before and assumed it lags while it does on real hardware (I guess?)
Same example for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2, this game lags a lot.

Don't forget Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. That game has quite the entourage of bugs including some FPS issues here and there.

And game breaking glitches early ingame :creep:

Someone playing Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly might easily believe that the problem with the game is Nintendont when it's the game itself. I've played the game on a GameCube and thankfully the only issue I encountered was an unbreakable metal bottle that contained the final gem to get 100% other than the occasional frame rate drops here and there but nothing gamebreakinig. I did fall through the floor once or twice ending my life.

It would be really good if the compatibility list were read-only for most people and only certain trusted people be able to edit it. I've seen the list altered too many times when the problem wasn't Nintendont, it was user error either due to a bad setting or a bad ISO or the game being poorly programmed.

That really would be good to ban people changing stuff without informations, and rechanging it after someone esle correct the situation. Remember that virtual stricker situation needing a video proof to shut that random guy setting it to not working? :P

I remember it.

I've been thinking that maybe we need to completely retest EVERY game 120% including side quests, unlocking everything, etc as I am wondering how many of the games were simply tested for main story only.

Then redo the same testing with shrunk ISOs as nobody really knows how thorough the initial testing was as some people's mindset was to see if it simply booted without playing the main story to the end

For a huge majority of these games, they haven't been retested with the latest revision.

The we have people who either change the compatibility list without checking here first to see if anyone else is having similar issues or they say "Game X doesn't work" and leave it at that. Then we have people who insist on not verifying their dump or insisting on shrinking it without seeing if it works as a 1:1 ISO. Also it seems the first post is just for show as nobody seems to read it either.

There should be info on how to verify your ISO for both Windows and Mac as I've come across a few Mac users here and they are given misinformation such as the proper size of an ISO since the Mac calculates file size differently than Windows. In this case 1.35GB on Windows = 1.46GB on Mac.
END RANT.

That would be funny if that's the case, a lot of games were terribly ported over to the Gamecube back in the days and in counter suffer badly from frame drops on real hardware, the fact they run almost identical with Nintendont is pretty impressive, you'd think they would run 2 times faster but it's impressive how they run just as slow as they do on real hardware, which is the purpose!

Technically Nintendont is playing the GameCube games on real hardware as there is no emulation (other than controllers and memory cards). The Wii U is just a souped up Wii which is just a souped up GameCube. As far as I know, FIX94 and the other developers have taken great pains to have the games played just like they played on the actual GameCube by putting in-app timers so the games don't run too fast minus the few games they haven't fixed yet that still run too fast.

Nintendont really put the screws to Nintendo. If hobbyist programmers can do all this, imagine what Nintendo could have done and sold more Wii U's than any other Nintendo console ever by offering GameCube VC games.

We're going on almost 1300 pages of pure awesomeness which just shows how popular the GameCube really was.

I don't want this to get lost in my previous post but Nintendo is going to release a GameCube / USB Adapter bundle for $50. I saw it for pre-order at GameStop. It's supposed to be release May 1st.

You can get loads of third party ones at the moment, they all seem to work just as well as the Official one. No need to shell out on the official one anymore.

Basically they're releasing just the adapter with a gamecube controller, for people who bought smash but couldn't get the adapter first time around.

I believe they're also making a big bundle with the game, a controller and an adapter as well.

I'm not sure if the Wii U is powerful enough to emulate GC, the Wii was struggling emulating N64 and most games seemed not compatible, don't get me started on how badly Paper Mario 64 runs on Wii VC, it's terrible, Project 64 ran this game a mile better on old computers.

they dont need to emulate them... like nintendont they can run the games natively, the wii games on wiiu e shop just run in wiimode too not emulated so they could easily do the same.

^I know but I was referring to the (VC) part not (dlc) part!
the name is pointless they could just add a GC section they dont need to call it VC or anything of that sort. But will nintendo do that?dont think so he will get more HD remakes so they can charge you a full price lol.
