Is anyone else having problems exiting Nintendont? When I push home, I get the exiting to loader message, then black screen and my wii freezes. Using the button combo does the same thing.

this was happening when I was updating earlier revisions, like 306?, but have yet to test recently

are you sure that you have progressive set in your system menu? otherwise nintendont wont set the flag.

still working through what I missed the last couple of days.
yeah I have progressive set on the wii main menu settings
seems like there is something between having MCEmu off and on. I usually just use my memory card so for me it was off and never saw that.
Until I had to use MCEmu for the rogue squadron games, then started seeing that pop up everytime. Even for Luigi's Mansion, not sure but there's no menu option for that one.
Anyways, it's been years since I played these games and it's wonderful. Just trying to pin down some odd things I've seen.
but let me be straight, this software is AWESOME.

Even without widescreen patches or native widescreen games, most games aren't displaying correctly. A better widescreen patch is just a solution.

You can call those games badly designed and you can ask for an enhancement but dont take it like its a big deal and FIX is at wrong for not being positive.

I have the opposite issue with Progressive being asked only if MCEmu set to OFF. If I have MCEmu ON, which I have to as I am using a Wii U, I don't get the Progressive Yes/No dialog in games like Luigi's Mansion and Star Fox Adventures but I do when MCEmu is off. Weird. It was never like this though. I used to get asked every time when MCEmu was On but that was like 100+ revisions ago.

I'm not saying anything like that. All I said was that it shouldn't be considered a minor issue. It isn't major but it should at least be considered moderate. Also, Fix actually hasn't said a word about it yet. It's all people speaking for him. The only thing he said was that
stuff like that is not fixable unless you take the time to analyze and debug things such as graphics and animation data and then properly rewrite them to be 16:9 and inject them into a new iso file.
I never personally asked for him to do this. I'm trying to help him find other solutions. I think the best solution would be to just add a 4:3 selection choice in the settings.

yeah I'm a bit foggy since there was some stuff that changed for me with the revisions. I'd have to go back and check 296 vs now/311. but it's one way or the other. Not sure how it changed because I was mostly just using the real memory card. Then started going back and forth around 306 due to the issues that were fine with MCEmu on. Yeah...weird.
anyone else to chime in on this. I need to harness the sun and go for a walk with my dog before the gloom comes back. been weirdly sunny here.
I'll be testing later vs 296 and 311. I think that's where a lot happened.
works great though, just some minor hiccups.

my setup: white wii ntsc (progressive set in menu) / component cables / wd elements usb 3.0 drive / real gc memory card (generic) / generic gamecube controller / generic wii controller

I've been using Nintendont since about revision 150 or so and the change was before r250 that is causing the issue.

Maybe because I am using an NTSC Wii U. Maybe I'll run some test later when I get the chance to find out what revision changed this Progressive Yes/No box.

Re-read the last pages and see how people made it a big deal and how Fix is being pushed.
and doesnt "impossible..unless..." means negative at least for the near future?
Can't we close this case and stop spamming the thread?

Why did WiiConnect24 cause random freezes on Wii's? Who knows.

that was because of a internal wii ios timer going and informing the processor ever so often to check for news, that generated a hollywood irq which was unhandled by my gamecube __OSDispatchInterrupt routines leading into a endless interrupt loop, effectively freezing the game. To fix that I inform the WiiConnect24 module to pause the timer while the game runs.

I was just saying that anything is possible when it comes to weird issues like that one. How long did it take you before you realized it was WiiConnect24 causing some of the random freezes?
