I don't remember rogue squadron 3 having stability issues. This update feels more of a downgrade for this game
its an overal stability check if you have to wait one more second or two you wont die will you? srs the load time was still bigger on the gamecube and you couldnt complain back then, security for all games is better than letting somegames run over becuase they skipped code due to being processed too fast.

Except that it's not one or two seconds. The loading times are almost 10 seconds long now, before it was almost instantaneous. And the loading times can happen several times Ina mission

played both of them and never had a 10 second loading at all.

Yeah maybe that was an exaggeration on my part. But if you started using Nintendont mainly for the fast loading times like I did, this change feels like a huge downgrade. Fix is it possible to enable fast read speed as an option in the settings perhaps?

you dont get it, rogue squadron 2 and 3 were doing disc read issues on the latest revs due to disc/usb code change so they needed security checks if you enable that you will randomly get disc read errors all over the place.

Oh ok, then I'll revert back pre-usb code change then for now. My hard drive was never affected so I don't have issues doing so. (I'll upgrade if I ever find a broken game) Do you remember which revision introduced the change?

think it was 305 but srs your returning to an old rev becuase of 2 to 3 added seconds of loading? i played 6 missions in a row and it tough everything was preety damn fast considering the big ass levels take 4 to 5 seconds for a full level its more than fair...

Sadly I'm a pc gamer as well so any added second in loading times feels like an eternity for me. However as I said if I do find a broken game I'll gladly upgrade then. I think that's fair. Don't you think?

Games work with more stability now but you are crying because loading times was increased by a few seconds? I don't understand you!

I was playing the games in revisions 290-295 before the USB change. They were perfectly stable then, and had fast loading times. However i did not realize that the usb code change messed up the Rogue Squadron games and needed to be fixed by adding secuirty checks. However since v296 works on my hard drive and its stable on all/most of my games and gives me fast load times and ill use that one. Hopefully you can understand where im coming from. However, i perfectly understand if you dont agree.
