Don't know why, but when I put 16:9 from nintendont and set 16:9 mode in the game (that supports) it looks like I put 16:9 to 4:3... Don't know how to explain... Too squeezed?

Yeah. That's basically what I was looking for. It SHOULD automatically resize the screen but apparently it can't and I doubt it has something to do directly with Nintendon't. Most likely it's due to the fact that the WiiU is running on HDMI and emulating a Wii which in turn is emulating a NGC. So the "flags" don't get correctly sent.

Bumping my own question, any idea on how/why is that happening and is there any way to solve those issues?

I dont really know yet, its also not very stable and doesnt work with alot of games so yea...
How about adding it and adding an option to enable and disable it, which is disabled on default? There are other options too that are breaking game. I think having the opportunity to use the BIOS is a nice addition. This is something that will never be added to devolution, cause there's no was to determine if the IPL.bin is pirated or not.

Yea, I was thinking about something like that. Also this feature is everything but finished, for example the PAL version of the BIOS just doesnt work right now and I dont know why and some games just wont boot at all and just crash the BIOS on loadup for no understandable reason.

That's why i set for that specific game no 16:9 in nintendont and do it in the game, then it shows coorect

can't we just optionally play the embedded intro movie so that stability/compatibility/game region... won't be an issue

Hi Fix94,

I tested a bit more SRS, and don't find any problem for the moment which is blocking the players, but I found this problems in r275 :
- When I burn (with multigame iso creator this time) SRS, virtua striker 4, Mario Kart GP2 and others on a DVDR, SRS give me a black screen and freeze after the eutechnix logo :-( this does not happen with the same ISO on SD Card. Virtua Striker 4 give me a black screen too, and Mario Kart GP2 too. Mario Kart GP2 also work on SD. But maybe multigame ISO creator is not made to include triforce games, so it's maybe normal, but not for SRS...

I will continue to test...

Mmm... I already kinda knew that.
Ok,so here's another issue. Maybe this one can be solved.
NGC games do not output DPLII sound. (at least my AVR can't detect it) Is there something wrong? Is there a setting or something I should change?
And a "bonus round" of sorts
Whenever I load a game from within Nintendon't the game automatically asks if one wants to use progressive scan for that game (like it should) but if I launch it from, let's say CFG loader the prompt never appears... Any idea as to why this could happen?
thanks again.

Make sure the Wii/vwii has sound set to surround in the Wii menu. On vwii you need a homebrew setting editor.

If on WiiU. You need to set the WiiU sound to Stereo. I run WiiU and I have working PLII, tested worth Rogue Squadron sound test.

triforce games are not native gc games why are you burning them they are probably corrupting your burned disc becuase they were never meant to be burned on a gcmultidisc.

Yeah, that's the best option. We place gcbios.bin in the root of the device (sd/usb) and Nintendont automatically searches for it. If found > use bios, If not Found> skip bios.

Hi burned another multi iso disk with only GC games, and there is the same black screen and freeze after eutechnix logo on SRS.
Un ISO of Fzero AX is hidden in Fzero GX and works on GC with the good action replay code (and probably on the wii with the translated wiird code), so I supposed that the format was the same, that's why I tried to insert triforce games...

Is this completly compatible like a real Gamecube? With audio streaming etc.?
I got two GC with two different modchips and I tweaked the lasers till they read discs again and still there are errors at reading, so I'm just asking if this is any good?
Else I will need a new drive for my wii. The one I got is a D4 and that is not moddable.

It's getting very close, compatibility is now excellent with just a handful of games to fix. It plays plenty of games that dios-mios will not, such as PSO.

Audio streaming works.

Actually depending of the point of view it is better than the real hardware, because you can have all your games in a single USB drive, use several different controllers (bluetooth ones, Wiimote+nunchuck) HID ones - you can even play with a PS3 controller), use an emu memory card, output games using HDMI on a wii U, you can also use an USB loader and have all your games with full covers (that's nice and kids proof) . The real hardware has full compatibility but loose all these features.

For more informations on how to set up everything, read here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendont.349258/

All you need is a homebrew enabled Wii / Wii U - a compatible controller - and some backups.

Hello,

I have the AHB acces problem, i have the boot.dol and the meta.xml with <ahb_access/> on the same folder (sd/apps/Nintendont), but it didn't work.
I'm using a wii with homebrew channel 1.0.8.
Help please

^^I didn't know that, good to know. I just recall it not working back when I used my Wii (since replaced by a WiiU). Sonic Gems also works with Nintendont, but not dios-mios.

I would agree that Nintendont is probably better than a real GameCube now for all the above reasons. The WiiU (and indeed a regular Wii) is such a flexible console. You can even still use your Wavebird.

For those wich are interested, I can now confirm that the wiird translated code works on Fzero GX PAL version on Wii. You can play with Fzero AX using Fzero GX ISO with neogamma (and probably many loaders) and this gct file without quadforce, just wiigator cMIOS v10, and probably cMIOS from waninkoko. it should also work with DML. I don't know if it also works with official MIOS, but probably not with iso, maybe with an original FzeroGX disk...

So, Pedro702, are you sure that triforce ISO game format is different ? because multi game ISO creator does not give me an error, and works well with triforce ISOs !!!
