OUCH, bro, OUCH! I feel your pain. I'm still recovering from my 1TB lost due to the stupid Wii U force format. :( I hope you can recover your data.

You guys scare me, I always hit no on that screen that asks, but the more I see about stuff like this, the more I realize I HAVE to backup my external drive, there is probably a little more than 1TB of data on there, good god that would suck to lose.

then your buttoms are swicthed 3rd party? adapter?

to do half R or half L just press ZL and R or L respectively, some 3rd party and adapters have switched out butoms

It's an original black US CCP - well, at least I think it is, since it came in the original box all wrapped up with all that usual plastic and manual. It also has a printed Wii logo in the front, Nintendo logo in the back with revision number, etc, all that stuff that would make one believe it's an original and not a 3rd party. Really strange. Is there any way to be certain?

I also tried holding ZL as mentioned before, and nothing... Maybe my configuration has something to do with it, as I'm running it connected to Wiimote Plus in a Wii U. I will try it later in my old 2007 Wii with the old Wiimote.

It's weird since I also have a US CCP (Gold) connected through Plus in a Wii U and it works properly.

This might have already been discussed but I couldn't find it anyway.

Also it may be early to tell since the adapter hasn't been released... but it would be really awesome, if nintendont supported the official wii u gamecube controller adapters. Does anybody know if there are any plans to add support?

I have another question. When using the Mayflash Gamecube controller adapter with nintendont, are the L/R triggers analog? (I know the GC controller has analog triggers but I mean does nintendont and the mayflash adapter treat them that way?)...

I hope so.

If so, can anybody link to the correct mayflash GC adapter.

Thanks,!

The Wii U GameCube controller adapter is planned if the adapter is HID

I'm assuming your talking about the one that plugs into the bottom of the Wii remote. The analog triggers do work

You can also go back to v1.0 to see if the problem exist (v1.0 doesn't have much sound, be warned). Nobody reported any issues with the game until recently. Can't go earlier then v1.0 since they are removed from the internet

Your edit of the Wiki to "Working" status adding that there's only a "small chance" minimizes what is for many a very real issue. As a compromise I've changed it to "Issues" and emphasized uncertainty in the notes section. "Doesn't Work" was as inappropriate as "Working".

Let's just leave it alone until the game is either rock-stable for all in a future revision, or perhaps the last working version field is updated to a past revision that is rock-stable for all, in which case it would remain "Issues" until a future revision perhaps fixes the problem. "Working" = "nothing to see here, move along," when clearly this game deserves attention some day should a developer have the time and will to take it on. "Issues" is appropriate for that reason.

If that compromise sounds acceptable, let's agree to put this behind us.

I see, thank you all for your feedback, I'm probably doing something wrong lol! But did some more testing, and decided to press each button and post here the results:

R (top right button): shoot water
ZR (bottom right button): map (island guide)
L (top left button): center camera behind Mario (kind of L targeting)
ZL (bottom left button): nothing happens

It seems that ZL and ZR are not acting as L and R buttons in the original GC controller for me... weird! As you can see the L button is already assigned, thus not being "free" to be used to trigger "half-pressed". I also tried to hold ZL (the only should button left that isn't assigned to anything) while shooting water.

I have to leave for work now, will test a bit more with other versions when I get back. Thanks again!

Based on how you say the buttons are working, Try holding the lower left button while pressing the upper right button

The button problem seems like a dead givaway to me. The fakes keep getting closer in looks to the real ones because people keep posting how to tell the fakes. Some other things you can try looking at to tell the fakes are:
Does it have a nintendo logo on the connector that plugs into the wiimote?
Does it use triwing screws to hold togather the connector that plugs into the wiimote?
Does it use triwing screws to hold togather the ccp?
Does the cable have the cable specs printed on it?

my son formatted the HDD to the Wii U

2 TB of data lost
Damn, sorry to hear man, last night I wanted to use my "backups" hard drive to find out it's corrupted and needed a format, it took me all night and morning to get everything back (I lost some data here and there but they're not important) it really sucks having to recover from a hard drive failure or format, and you just got your Wii U back from Nintendo, best of luck, man!

Yep, already tried using the lower left button, no response... about the other questions, yes to all except for the screws that hold together the CCP, they are Phillips ones. Starting to feel like I bought a fake one

Could you please check if the screws that hold together your CCP are triwing or Phillips?

Thanks guys!

ppl should realize when you buy controllers online for like half priced you should expect they are fakes expecially if the guy you bought them ships from hong kong.

Triwing.
All official Nintendo product should have some sort of tri-screw.

Thanks for your fast reply !

It's definitely a fake one then, so pissed right now coz the seller actually claimed it was original, and I paid full price for it. Gonna return it, and try to buy it again from a store just to be sure... Thanks once again!

I can relate. Sucks to be prey of such scam, but if you can return it and get a refund, do so and buy one from an official store, a Gamestop or something like that

switched my HDD and SD card over to my Wii U, loaded Wiiflow just fine and BAM Nintendont launched no issues! I'm surprised, normally there is some bump in the road that screws stuff up.

It's crazy to think I'm playing Tony Hawk 4 for Gamecube on the system that is 2 generations after it.

IDK how you guys don't have some crazy programming job and making millions of dollars. Thank you for all of the software that you guys (FIX94 and crediar) develop. If only you could teach the ways!

Sorry to hear that Vash. I'm still recovering from my loss.

Perhaps a support group should be started to help victims of this atrocity cope with their tragic loss and get back on the road to recovery. :P :hateit::nayps3:

I'm almost there, about halfway through gamecube and I got a buddy that has a backup of my stuff that I forgot about :) he has a 3tb loaded up, so I'll recover quicker than expected.

Again sorry for off topic.

But on topic, Nintendont worked great when we played THPS4. Played for like 30 mins.

Anyone else experiencing video issues with Big Air Freestyle? If I select Progressive, it black screens and I hear garbled audio. Video works in interlaced, but the colors are all weird (blue dirt, red water in the shark tank). Also, flashing green lines at top and bottom no matter what. Tried a fresh iso, thinking it was corrupted. Didn't work. Anybody know if it worked beyond the last rev on the wiki?

LightyKD:
Sorry for late reply, I had more than a week replies to catch-up.

I just read you lost your HDD after formating it for WiiU :(
I saw on one of your older posts that USBLoaderGX asked you to use a primary partition, so I assume your 1TB drive was either using GPT instead of MBR, or using extended partition instead of Primary.
I hope you reformated it in MBR/Primary this time.

This might also be why you had "FS Checking..." issues, you didn't use MBR format.

Did you had multiple HDD connected on your WiiU ? You could have the crash because you were using two ports at the same time.

It's a known issue (and I added this to the first post, so users don't try to run nintendont with multiple HDD connected).

Kernel seems to mount Port0, even if you have your games or memory card on Port1.
The port priority in the Loader and Kernel seems to be different, and the memory card check in Loader mode creates the memory card on Port1 even if your game is on Port0, then the Kernel finds the game when reading from Port0 but can't find the memory card file as it's not accessing the same port than the one it was created on and you get a code dump. that's why it's only crashing whit Memory Card emulation enabled.

I didn't test it myself, but it's what I think I understood after reading few user's report.

It can be fixed by letting the Loader mode checks the MBR of the first encountered drive (port1) and if it's not a MBR one (WiiU formated for example) or if it doesn't have a /games/ folder (or the fully requested ISO path, to be more crash proof) then switch to Port0 and try again before creating the memory card.
