Hacking Nintendont

I get the same problem on 1.43 where it asks me to turn off the gamecube console and refer to the instruction booklet for further instructions. Is this affected by my having a save file from R85 still in the saves folder? It gives me this message with both mcemu on and off. I am using a standard wii console with a dualshock 3 controller and playing through an 8GB SD Card.

do you have your sd card formatted with highest cluster size possible
if it gives that error with mcemu on or off then it is not your save file just format to fat32 with 64k cluster size if possible if that still don't work then sd card is not fast enough
 
Any chance dvd threading can be improved upon... or removed? I did some tests and most of my games are now much slower versus v1.30, even when using an hdd with 64kb is this the only way to reduce beeps? Which btw I've only noticed in SSBM and I've had crashes in some matches, and some minor incompatibilities in other games with v1.31+
 
hey guys how do i convert my gci saves (from dolphin) to raw format to play in nintendont???

First, run the games with nintendont after enabling MCEmu in the settings (this will create the .raw memory cards), then copy your saves folder to your computer, and use Dolphin's Memory Card Manager to transfer each save to its corresponding .raw file. You have one memory card for each game.

hey i know how to do that what i want to know is how to convert .gci to .raw. i play games on dolphin and i want to transfer my .gci saves to nintendont but nintendont only reads .raw save file.
so i can transfer .raw to gci with dolphin but idk how to do the opposite gci to raw help.

I've never used GCI so I don't know if they store only one game or several, but you can just use the option Import GCI and store the saves in each .raw file, using the Memory Card Manager in Dolphin.
 
How would one go about setting up caching of games with 2 discs (both in the same folder - game.iso + disc2.iso)?

I guess you'd simply use one cache.txt file and try to add files from both isos (if you're lucky maybe some of them are shared?). Another option could be to simply put disc2.iso in a different folder and rename it as game.iso. You might have a bit of trouble choosing it in the game list (unless it adds a 2 in its name like it does for Tales of Symphonia, i think); that way you could use one cache.txt for each one. Nintendont doesn't have autoswapping yet, so there's nothing that would change from having it like this.
 
I heard that SSD as pretty much as flashdrive even is better than HDDS and works like USB flashdrive with a big size, or i'm completely wrong? :huh:

Normal hdd has a spinning disk when they are active. They give out over time.

A ssd and flashdrive/thumbdrive is flash memory. No moving parts. They have a certain amounts of writes you can have to the drive before they go out. The number is in the millions/billions so don't worry too much about using them too much. You will only encounter this if you use your flashdrive/thumbdrive as extra ram for your computer.

I use a standard 2tb hdd that is dedicated for only Wii purposes and it works perfect with Nintendont

what about normal USB flash drive, 32gb or less? someone tested and works perfect!
