Gracias! Time to test some games!
Your welcome!
Remember though that it is the alpha version, I recommend the latest revision (Link in the main post). The revision from the 26th seems to work better for me though actually, I'll try putting a link up for that later.

The alpha version ended up crashing when I tried to load a game, but it was probably because I had no controller in.

Also the compatibility list needs some work :P I'll see if I can help with that.

Edit: Ah that would explain the crash.

I'm having trouble compiling the sources. Anyone have the sources with it compiling no problem?

Some? like 2 ? and only Zelda but from different region? then, yes, alpha is the version you need.
1. Install the Alpha version on your SD card
2. Download the loader.dol and rename it to boot.dol
3. replace the alpha "boot.dol" with the new one.
EDIT: these steps are outdated. Thank you Cyan!

the alpha is needed only for the XML that users don't know how to create.
I'll change the instructions then..
1. download the dol
2. download the meta.xml
3. enjoy

the alpha doesn't have important files, it only has a meta.xml with <ahb_access/> to get AHB access (or AHB protection disabled).
You can use any meta.xml you want, put it in the same folder. that's all.

good to know. Also the controller file and HID test in a neat little package. not sure if that .h file is important...

Hey, I hate to bother you with compatibility questions but would you guys be adding support for Super Mario Sunshine soon? :) It's one of my favorite games. Also, is it very different running the game natively versus running it on a normal Wii with a disc?

the .h was only for Loader's developers (USBGX, Wiiflow, etc.), to add autoboot.
the settings are now different so the included .h is outdated, the correct version is on svn.

Same for the HID, the new and fixed versions are on the svn (the one provided with alpha doesn't support Digital triggers).

Mario sunshine is already working.
Though, it has random freeze when loading new maps.

one more thing, I have IOS58 v25.32, and I cant find the proper version on NUSD. how (without posting the link) do I acquire this file (google did't help) do I need to update the wii?

Last question, when compiling Nintendon't, I get "*** No rule to make target 'kernal.ld', needed by 'kernal.elf'. Stop." Any solution?

If you're referring to an IOS on the Wii U's vWii, then I think it can only be obtained through a NAND backup/update (Don't quote me on that though).
No, a 'family' Wii. I have to wait for an Ac adapter to test on vWii. I downloaded the newsest IOS58 via NUSD (none were listed as v24.32) used wad manager 1.7 but couldn't install nor uninstall the IOS. (was running IOS88).

I have the same problem. i am on ios58 but not on the right version. what can i do?? I purchased PS3 controller only for nintendont. i want to test some games like f-zero gx.

For WiiU's vWii, the IO58 is already the correct version.

For Wii, if you used IOS58_installer, you don't have the correct version (it's installing a fixed version instead of the latest).
You need to use NUSD to download the latest, pack it to wad and install it with a Wad manager which doesn't patch the IOS without telling you (or you will have the homebrew channel upside down!).
Wad Manager 1.7 is fine, but you need IOS236 or 249/250, it shouldn't be a problem to most people as all softmod guides install these IOS.

Thanks. I will try this tomorrow. Hope I dont get -1 error like the other guy.
