Lol. I've been on the dark side. I remember Softmodding the Wii. Just wanted to know if it was the same.
I was refering to crediar, he seems jump development to other systems.

Instead of complaining about a guy who was donating his own precious time to create something for free canceling a project, why not do something about it?
If everyone who posted here complaining instead donated $20 to a reward fund for completing a beta and releasing the source code, maybe you might see it get accomplished.
But rather than thank him for putting in hard work to a project that he received nothing in return for, some people criticize him.
All I will say to him is thank you for the hard work you have done. Hopefully something will come of it someday.
In the meantime, you can still play your GC games in Dolphin, on your original gamecube, on Devolution, or wait until Nintendo offers them as virtual console titles for the Wii U.
I would indeed donate towards a completed Nintendont and/or the source code, but the question is would he accept the offer? I could donate ~$40 if so. If he turns it down, I would donate towards anyone who could disassemble the alpha and turn it into usable code.Instead of complaining about a guy who was donating his own precious time to create something for free canceling a project, why not do something about it?

Contacted him. Also suggested Wii U Sneek as a "stretch goal".I would donate towards nintendont too.
Perhaps crediar is just tired of the ungrateful punks who use his hacks. I can think of at least one right now.I said it before and I'll say it again. Nothing but a cock-tease. Why am I not surprised? No offense, but he really shouldn't tease people with a program with the premise or potential of it being an alternative to Devolution, but no, he decides to pull the plug and not even try. A very peculiar attitude; sorry crediar, but that's just damnable. I mean yeah, people get caught up in personal matter with family, job, etc. crap happens, but this is just weird. I hope someone "accidentally" releases the source code.
Yes, stop the flame war he says, then proceeds to call crediar childish names in his very next sentence.Stop the Flame War
Leave Closiar and Credidon´t in peace.
Move to the Next Castle. Please.

The funny thing is crediar is the same guy who gave people the way to play 95% of GC games perfectly on bc Wii. DIOS MIOS is so good I still marvel at its existence. People should just be eternally thankful for that. Big time.
On the other hand maybe devs shouldn't tease projects in extremely early stages. Still no need for drama.

Nintendon't was more of a proof of concept than anything only launching one game. I would hardly call that a masterpiece. Dios Mios however, was one helluva masterpiece, it did the impossible. He never should have released the alpha build and kept it too himself. In fact, it actually would have been a lot better in the long run if it was never shown to the public. And FYI, complaining about those complaining doesn't make it any better.
