How come with devolution we can use the wii u pro controller, but with nintendont we have to buy a $35 adaptor to use it? Sorry if this has been explained already. I'm just curious.

Devolution had its own Bluetooth stack written to take advantage of a few Bluetooth enabled control pads. Nintendont uses controllers and adapters that use hid interface to work instead

Is there any reason for that?
As far as I have read a lot of it is to do with the goals each developer had for there project. Crediar wanted to work on getting other functions working than working on Bluetooth support which would take a lot of effort

Too bad they hate each other's guts (so I've heard), because if they teamed up they could probably create the greatest GC playing app in existence.

Just got a ps3 and finally tried on my Wii U. Default controls are a bit awkward but it works and those can be changed. Sorta wished the power button required a key combo instead of just one button.

Is it possible to integrate the Bluetooth stack from devolution to nintendont?
This would be awesom if somebody would release a bluetooth stack to use it for such projects.

Isn't devolution using the bluetooth stack from the OS it's running on?
Nintendont isn't having this os support luxury.

Well, the Devolution readme says this down at the end
readme said:
Devolution uses parts of the lwBT Bluetooth stack:

So it seems like he had gotten permission to use some existing (closed source?) code for that part. I think the Bluetooth stack everyone else uses is actually part of libogc BUT both devolution and liboGC homebrew DO have the benefit of being able to use the IOS (drivers?) to communicate with the Bluetooth dongle. Nintendont apparently replaces the IOS while running so unless Crediar were to devise some way to load the IOS, too, AND find some Bluetooth stack code, he'd have to write all that code himself. Either way sounds like a lot of work to me.

Said he'd be busy for at least October, and until he says otherwise, it's fair to assume he's still preoccupied with more important things.

Thanks for all the help. I loaded up Nintendont and got to the Zelda screen, but when I click A, the video disconnects, but the Wii still seems to be on.

I have a PAL Black Wii and PAL TV with an NTSC iso.

Crediar removed that and I pointed it out on another thread. Maybe he moved on to ps4 and/or xbone. If he drops Nintendon't there will be a lot of sad people.

It's as if a stripper has grinded her bare ass against my groin, told me to go lay doin in the other room, and the moment I do, I hear my car peeling out of the driveway.

I tweeted to get it from Crediar. Nothing confirmed yet. Probably done but not sure.

Edit; Crediar confirmed no sneek...and no Nintendon't:-(
