i'm running aus pal wii, did not have to fore ntsc just left on auto. it did freeze on white screen when leaving grandma's house though and had to reboot.

NTSC Wii, and I'm getting a freeze at the Grandma's house as well.

gamecube games have a lot of different sound engines/DSP version (around 10). each DSP requires specific functions to hear audible sound instead of noise. Zelda might have some channels or individual instruments or sound effects which are not processed yet, that's why you have noise in the intro merged with good audio, but not elsewhere. DSP engines will be added and fixed one by one (probably in "most used" order to make more games working at once instead of a single game nobody want to play).

Howard only u know the diff about the yours 2wii... i have -1kernel error and videoshutdown.. i have try all setup without good result..
cyan u know why the -1kernle error?
Probably one is boot2 and other is asios?

I don't know what -1 kernel means.
I had freeze on 3 (incorrect settings, I guess it's because I'm using a loader to launch nintendont and enabled a setting which is not used yet).
I didn't have code dump or errors with Alpha 01. (but my zelda is EUR so it doesn't work at all).

Syscheck isnt showing any differance that looks like it may cause a problem like this. Booth have boot2 v4. My theory is the hollywood version. Can anyone verify they have it working with any of the items I have listed in the non working wii?

Working ........................... Not Working
System Menu 4.3U (v513) .... System Menu 4.0/4.1U (v54449)
Hollywood v0x11 ............... Hollywood v0x21
IOS3 NOT PRESENT ............ IOS3 (rev 65280): Stub
IOS40 (rev 3072): Stub ....... IOS40 (rev 16174): Trucha Bug NAND Access
IOS52 (rev 5888): Stub ....... IOS52 (rev 16174): Trucha Bug NAND Access
IOS62 NOT PRESENT ........... IOS62 (rev 6430): No Patches

i couldn't get the pal version running.... always had a freeze at the intro...
then i tried with ntsc version and had the grandma house freeze too...

after a lil bit of reading i found out that nintendont automaticly creates the config.bin...
so i deleted the old one and let nintendont create a new one.. and it worked :D

tutorial for use with ps3 controller and ntsc zelda on WIIU:

1-just copy nintendont to sd:\apps on sd
2-the zelda game to sd:\games\zelda\game.iso
3-rename the controller_ps3.ini to controller.ini and copy to the root of sd
4-start nintendont via homebrewchannel or wiiflow (creates config.bin on root of sd)
5-press A on wii mote to select zelda (dont change any setting in nintendont menu)
6-after pressing A dont press SELECT on the ps3 pad it restarts the WIIU
7-when nintendo logo has loaded press the PS Button on ps3 pad
8- ps3 pad should be recognized as 1 controller (all 4 light should stop blinking)
9- format memory card when asked at the beginning
10-PLAY

i would recommend to try saving at the beginning..... because the first time i wasnt able to save...

btw: crediar has a great GAMECUBE\ISO converter named DMTOOLBOX

NTSC here and it did the same to me the first time, too (right after getting the shield) but just played again and it worked just fine. Must be a trouble spot but it still seems kinda random whether it happens or not.

I'm having a little problem working this. When I select the game, it loads the kernal numbers and it goes from 1 - 4 quickly, then it goes black and restarts my Wii U. Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind. I got it fixed. I found out that you had to rename "controller_ps3.ini" to "controller.ini"

Will this only work on sd? is a usb method being worked on? NVM read front page.

Loading Nintendont only gives me -1 patched kernel error on my Wii. Any Hep?

I finally got this to work, the key was to use a different SD card. :P Other than that my Wii was pretty much a stock 4.3U system.

But while I was in the shower, I realized something... if wireless controllers (other than GameCube ones) aren't going to be supported, then what benefit does Nintendont have over the Dolphin emulator?

Well, if you don't have any wireless controllers and HAPPEN to have a USB PC controller ...

Also, wireless USB game controllers (make before Bluetooth existed, for example) DO exist.

But people don't have PC's capable of dolphin.
On Dolphin 3.0 (not a typo) I was able to play 2-play splitscreen 007 Nightfire with 6 bots at 3x IR (1920x1584) and 16xAF at 60fps with only a 2.8GHz Phenom II and a Geforce 8800GS 384MB.
