I have a report to do! I was able to launch baten kaitos 1 and 2 this way, fisrt I boot the disc 2 and then when starting a new game it switches to disc 1 and I can play normally, but for baten kaitos 2 this way the wii shuts down when it switches to disc 1, I can confirm that baten kaitos 1 it's working now. I will try to download two new dumps of disc 1 for both games and test again. Nintendont 2.191 and mem emu 1019 blocks progressive on.

Another thing, for some reason my nintendotn meta it's showing me 2.191 and whn I go to update it tells I have the latest version, but the google page says it's 2.193 I even downloaded it from the googlecode site and still its showing 2.191

This was just a simple oversight. You have 2.193, everyone's says that

Excellent point and it's something I did want to address but must have forgot haha.
Thanks ill add it later today (Bayonetta 2 is out) :)

Wow I didn't know Bayonetta was out already.
Good for the fans.
I've never been a fan of hack-n-slash games out of Castlevania, but yeah. Hope you enjoy the game :)

I will think of more things to add to the troubleshoot section in the meanwhile.

4.1U if I found it the right way. Settings in the top right corner.

Look this is my opinion and a few people will say "there's no need" but honestly update to the latest Wii firmware through the official way.
If your HBC is already updated you won't lose it when you update.

You will however lose your cIOS because Nintendo overwrite them, you can reinstall those very easily.

Updating will give you the newest IOS versions for everything and it's just as compatible these days to have the latest firmware since Nintendo haven't updated it further in years.

Can one of the devs explain the importance of the "USB" option in settings.
As I understand it, it is only there to tell nintendont the games are on a USB device (or not), but isn't that kind of redundant as when you first boot nintendont it asks you to choose between SD and USB?
Does the "USB" option do more than just reinforce the SD/USB option at the start or can/should one of these options be removed/hidden?

I respectfully disagree, I been using 4.1U ever since it's been released and never updated my Wii once, I never had any issue running any game on it even if it required an update (I simply disabled disc update messages with Priiloader) you cannot even imagine how many games I have on the console and I'm not just talking about regular Wii/GC/Wiiware/Triforce/VC games but I have emulators for just about everything, I think 4.1U is all you need!

I recommend however using Pimp my Wii for it solves all the missing ios on the fly and is very user friendly and safe!

Well as long as you are in anything >4.0U
I had 4.2U and updated to 4.3U just for the sake of it.
Only downside is that you might require more picky options to hack the Wii but that's about it.
Perhaps performance is better or anything, but 4.3U and 4.2U are the best options so far.

Oh and I also added a custom theme to my Wii. :P
Sad that the vWii doesn't have custom themes though.
Might be nice to have it with the custom Nintendont forwarder.

Oh man, don't do this. 4.2 and 4.3 offer NO additional functionality over 4.1. They were only released to remove softmods. You may skate through unscathed going this route, but there is a definite brick hazard here. There is reason priiloader blocks online and disc updates.....

I was playing a game (SSX Tricky) and performed a move which coincidentally is the same button combo you use to return back to the loader. I was gonna ask if there was a way to disable it but I believe I found my answer on the first page?

If I turn "Native Control" to "On", then that will disable the button combinations, correct?

Edit: just tested, and works as I thought

Thanks for the support, Nintendont is truly the best :)

Sweet jesus MKGP1 finally works using 191. 192 and 193 are only controller ini's so isn't the loader file still 191? Anyways...... I can confirm,
only setting i used was the memcard emulation on. set to 251.
MKGP1 works
MKGP2 freezes at the screen you would "place your face here screen" everytime
F-Zero AX on the first try.
Sonic Mega collection works
virtua striker not working for me(GVS46E - Virtua Striker 4)

all my triforce games run flawless on dml and I have got them from a great source. MKGP2 and virtua striker run perfect through dml btw. But that is better than before when all I could get running is AX.

I dunno it seems more of a headache to update to 4.2/3 when there's absolutely no reason to since it's be proven that every single game and homebrew runs under 4.1U!

I have quite a few nice themes for my Wii, currently I'm using the WinXP one it's my fave, it also appears it's easier to find nice themes for 4.1U than anything else so that's another plus for 4.1U, btw I bet you're using the one for Shadow since you're a fellow fan of the game but sadly that one didn't look appealing much to me for some reason.

Anyway custom themes are nice but can be risky if you don't know what you're doing, I bricked my Wii a while ago installing one but luckily I had a back up and I managed to recover with zero loss!

I said was my opinion and I'm fully aware that other people (It seems most) don't think it's needed, I don't think it's needed either but the guys obviously having issues and a clean slate wouldn't hurt in my eyes, there's no reason it should brick if he updates, it might delete cIOS but it won't do anything else. (Well it'd delete HBC if it's not updated first but I digress)

P.s I've had my Wii since launch and have been through all the hax and updates, I have used 4.3 since forever now and it has never once given any problems, every problem I see comes from not having new IOS most of the times, so I always tell people to update and so far all have resolved any issues.

I also have a very plain Wii with only cIOS installed as extra's, nothing else, no priiloader, no themes nothing just plain 4.3 with cIOS and HBC. That is always how I've done it and how I suggest it to everyone else, of course all my guides and such are written for newbies and don't expect them to know anything. Why complicate things when they don't necessarily need it.

Yeah man seems like 2.190 fixed it and I updated the Wiki when I found out.

They stopped them because back in the day when Nintendo actually updated the wii, it would wipe all your shit and you'd have to wait sometimes months for a new hack to reinstall everything. (Trust me I was there helping then like I do today)
These days, just reinstall and you'll always stay on 4.3 with no issues.... provided Ninty don't update like they haven't in years.

VinsCool Yeh I know, and a heap of testers have just joined and are giving results, about 17,000 people have now visited nintendont.net (Thanks to here and to advertising on reddit haha) and very little need extra help (About 30 so far have contacted me through the site for help) so that's great.

I was thinking for the menu settings it could be reorganized since it seriously needs organizing and some options are cut off on my TV (Native Control which is important to me) so I figured it could be done like this:

**Now**

************************************************

-SD
-USB

************************************************

-Cheats---------------------------------(Off/on)
-Debugger-------------------------------(Off/on)
-Debugger Wait--------------------------(Off/on)
-Memorycard Emulation-------------------(Off/on)
-Cheat Path-----------------------------(Off/on)
-Force Widescreen-----------------------(Off/on)
-Force Progressive----------------------(Off/on)
-Auto Boot------------------------------(Off/on)
-Use HiD Device-------------------------(Off/on)
-OSReport-------------------------------(Off/on)
-USB------------------------------------(Off/on)
-Drive Read Led-------------------------(Off/on)
-Log------------------------------------(Off/on)
-MaxPads-----------------------------(0/1/2/3/4)
-Language--------(Auto/Eng/Ger/Fre/Spa/Ita/Dut/)
-Video-------------------------(None/Auto/Force)
-Video Mode--------------(NTSC/MPAL/Pal50/Pal60)
-Memorycard Blocks----(59/123/251/507/1019/2043)
-Memorycard Multi-----------------------(Off/on)
-Native Control-------------------------(Off/on)

**Then**

************************************************

-USB
-SD

************************************************

-Native Control-------------------------(Off/on)
-Memorycard Emulation-------------(Off/on/multi)
-Memorycard Blocks----(59/123/251/507/1019/2043)
-MaxPads-----------------------------(0/1/2/3/4)
-Use HiD Device-------------------------(Off/on)
-Video-------------------------(None/Auto/Force)
-Video Mode--------------(NTSC/MPAL/Pal50/Pal60)
-Force Widescreen-----------------------(Off/on)
-Force Progressive----------------------(Off/on)
-Cheats---------------------------------(Off/on)
-Cheat Path-----------------------------(Off/on)
-Language--------(Auto/Eng/Ger/Fre/Spa/Ita/Dut/)
-Drive Read Led-------------------------(Off/on)
-Auto Boot------------------------------(Off/on)
-Debugger--------------------------(Off/on/wait)
-Auto Boot------------------------------(Off/on)
-OSReport-------------------------------(Off/on)
-Log------------------------------------(Off/on)

Though I'm not sure what "OSReport" and "Log" do, and I don't see why "Auto Boot" is necessary, I think this way it'll be more organized from most used to less used as well as make related things within the same range, just a thought!

Wow! so much green in compatibility list! At this speed, every games would have perfect compatibility before the end of the year :toot:

On a more serious note, i'm looking forward to getting mid-game crashes gone (sonic dx and resident evil zero for example). Probably the final and hardest step of them all :(
